I had 3/3 shutdowns. The 3rd card has NEVER been used for ANY loads other than an initial $20 load when I bought the card (Serve at WM) + a single $10/10 AMEX statement credit offer at Petco.
This is encouraging. Although, they may have linked your third card to the others somehow? Do you use the same address?

Anyone with only a single Bluebird card get shut down?

This is terrible news. Thankfully I already loaded the 10k I got from Simon on Tuesday. That was my only form of MS though.

I disagree. It's not that hard to run an algorithm to catch MS patterns. Only a tiny number of those using bluebird as it was intended will be flagged by the algorithm. MSers were never the target audience.

Anyone tried to call them? I`ve been on hold for 15 minutes now.

Oh, well, life is going on. I didn`t do lots of loads (some months $0, some $5K, and paid bills mostly. Less reasons to shop at WM now

I had one only, and no Serve or other birds ever - in the same boat as of this morning.

Mrs. Pointsninja and I both shut down today. I hadn't used my card at all since November. Que sera, sera.

Andyandy

P.S.: The "you'll have full access to your funds" language in the shutdown email suggests that this was purely a business decision. If Amex suspected fraud, I'd expect they'd take the funds lockdown approach.

I think AmEx is getting rid off this product in such manner.

OK, thanks, good to know it's not that. Must be detection of MS patterns.

Looking forward to hearing what people are told when calling.

The relevant Section 15 d (bolding mine):
