No luck buying with a CC at a Smith's. Might have just been the cashier though.

It appears the deal is over. I did not receive a coupon in Atlanta this morning. The cashier double checked her coupon machine for paper (it was full) and she said it had been working fine earlier for other coupons.

When buying MO at Kroger, can you do split tender ?
Ex) I want to buy a 1k MO, but i have 2 $500 VGC
Is this something that people are doing at Kroger ?

If you buy a $999.31 money order, they can run the first card at $500, then the next card for $500. If you want the amounts varied to better keep track of them, you could choose an amount such as $999.29 and the second card will run for $499.98.
As with WalMart they appear to take the position that consecutive purchases totaling $3,000 or more requires the gathering of information for entry into their daily monetary log. I realize that most purchasers do not have $3,000 or more of prepaid cards in their pocket at one time, so their choice of $1,000 or $2,000 of money orders has nothing to do with this paperwork.

Yes, mine does a maximum of 2 split tenders per transaction.

If people need ideas on using up the $5 coupons…
You can buy 3 private selection (kroger high end house brand) pint size ice cream and sorbet for $5 exactly and it will print you a coupon for $2.50 to use next time.
Really good ice cream and sorbet.

FYI: I meant to report it sooner, but no coupon printed today on my normal VGC purchase. This was the uscan register I usually use (Has printed every other time I've been) so I'm pretty sure that means the $5 deal is dead. Nice of them to extend it one extra day anyways!

Possible MS?
Yesterday I made a $6 purchase and forgot to use my $5 coupon. I went to Customer Service expecting $5 to be put back on my Barclays card. Instead, he handed me a $5 bill in exchange for the $5 coupon!
Now I just need to increase the volume...

It's dead in south Houston. Interesting story...bought $500 variable vGC and took it to WM to test it. Pin was in package. WM kiosk wasn't shooting out MOs. They sent me to money center and I felt awkward so I didn't walk out. Ask for $499.32 MO, swiped card, input pin, was told needed debit card, then 2 secs later it was approved. Walked out with my MO and trashed my VGC.

MC kiosks with the MO functionality enabled are exceedingly rare. I managed to get one out a machine once and then it immediately shat itself and went to the lock screen.
