This is pretty sad for me and for those who lives in or near SF. From San Francisco to Mountain View, CA, there are approximately 40+ CVSs. Starting from SF to MV, i went to about 28 stores, 25 did not stock the BEANS and the remainder 3 said CASH ONLY.

You will not find beans in one day. You will have to do multiple visits. I never had any difficulty in finding beans. (at least so far)

Was in the Bay Area for a week last month. Found empty racks at numerous stores the first 4 days and then one day, one of the stores had a fully stocked rack. (though that was in San Jose).
Later that day, I stopped into a west Sunnyvale store and they had 2 full racks.

I got some Vanilla today at a gas station / convenience store for the first time. Cashier had to ask another employee if she could take cc. I think I should get 2% on my Ink Bold card. I've bought some at CVS with the Ink at only 1% towards meeting 5k spend. Wish I tried this gas station earlier.
I've never seen them at CVS in my home town, but one I pass on my way to work always has them and they have no issue with using cc

A suggestion for those not finding VR at CVS. I've gone into some stores that don't carry them on the three sided gift card rack, but they keep them right by the checkouts. Maybe you've checked this, but just wanted to point this out.

Never thought of that. Will give that a try. I had a feeling they might be hiding them now.

Nope. I have checked a few WallyWorlds in my area and none have any beans.
