  • View fee free ATM withdrawals in the Bay Area. This list was provided for EBT cards (e.g government assistance) and as such doesn't include a fee free list for all card holders. It is useful as a starting point as a lot of those listed are fee free for everybody.

I haven't been able to confirm the following so if anybody could confirm for me that would be great:
  • Aldi supermarkets, not sure if fee free or low fee. Some stores don't have ATM. Don't make special trip.
  • Cardtronics ATM inside CVS locations. (Varies due to bank branding, ie, Chase affiliated Cardtronics ATM had $3 fee. On the other hand, Cardtronics ATM at a local Costco had local CU branding, was $1.25 per WD) Cardtronics inside CVS = $3 in PHX area See below:
    http://www.cardtronics.com/consumers/consumer-faq.asp
  • Eastern Washington University PUB (building) in Cheney, Washington
  • RaceTrac: Possibly only TX locations only Store locator here, hit the magnifying glass in top right corner $300 limit $2 fee in Houston as of 2/2015

BTW Winco is correct, its $1 for ATM, up to $1k. saves you a quarter over costco, but only worth it if it is in your way..
thanks for the update.. very helpful.

Just wondering, why are so many people looking for no-free ATMs? You can easily get a debit card that lets you withdraw without a fee at thousands of ATMs within a network, or you can get cash back at a grocery store. Is there some appeal of no-free ATMs, or is this just for curiosity's sake?

Prepaid debit cards you can fund with credit cards.

Nearly all of the McDonald's in NYC have ATMs that charge only 99 cents per withdrawal.

I wouldn't want to be seen pulling out a grand at a McDonald's in NYC, you might not make it out with it...

Pretty unlikely that the ATMs at Micky's let you pull out $1000 a pop.

Aren't most of those part of Allpoint or some other network?

So basically you're asking if they're part of some ATM network. Aren't all cards? The Visa logo is a network...

There are two types of "networks".

Surcharge-free networks are networks of ATMs that you can use without paying the usual surcharge. Allpoint, Moneypass, and so on, are examples.

Then there are the networks that actually connect the ATMs: Cirrus (Mastercard), Plus (Visa), Pulse (Discover), NYCE, and so on.

I can use my ING debit card at my UW Credit Union ATMs with no fee. Also my Serve debit card, but Serve will charge after one use per month.

I have a bank account with a bank called First Republic. My bank refunds me ANY fees charged by ANY ATM all over the world. Better than trying to find no-fee ATM's!

Now if I only had an ATM machine I'd be minting money!
