Has anyone noticed a different scratch off strip? I usually get the one that says "Expose PIN When Prompted", but saw a few with the VR-style strip. Anyone else notice this? It seemed fishy, so I took the ones with the regular "Expose PIN When Prompted" strips.
What I normally see: http://oi59.tinypic.com/14ukehv.jpg What I saw the other day (this is a VR, but the strip on the PayPal MC that I saw looked just like the VR strip): http://oi62.tinypic.com/21o8wvm.jpg |

I loaded my BB with PP Bus Debit MC twice for $200 each on consecutive calendar days. Actually, just hours apart-- 9/10 at 3 pm, then again 9/10 at 10 pm Pacific time (which is 9/11 for BB). The $400 has posted to my BB account already, but the 2nd $200 debit is still listed as pending authorization. I'm worried that the 2 transactions for the same amount of money to the same merchant (BB) so close together raised a red flag to PP, and now they're reviewing it. I've been doing PP to BB loads for a while now, and never has the pending authorization taken this long. In the past, I did different amounts like ($168.01 and $197.45), but this time I was impatient. What's the longest pending auth time you've seen for PP to BB/Serve loads?

If this is the first time this went to review, call BB and they will initiate a 3 way call with PP. Once PP rep confirms your account, you are good.
At least this is the way it happened with my WF debit card. |

Over the weekend, it can back up until Monday. Not a big deal
Hopefully you're right. I'm sure many people do $200 on consecutive days as well, but maybe not as close together as mine. Hopefully the system doesn't think it was a duplicate charge and has a person review it. I'll probably add $199 later today. |
Where are the remaining places we can use CC to buy paypal reloads? I can't find any places ever since CVS stopped

When did CVS stop?

CVS still has the PayPal cards, just a lot of locations don't carry it. I fortunately have one CVS that's willing to order more PayPal cards for me whenever it is out of stock.
On a totally different topic, PayPal accounts can also incur 1099-K forms. Does anyone know if loading the $500 count as one transaction? It is said that only $20,000 AND 200+ transactions will incur 1099K forms. So loading alone would possibly result in 8 * 12 = 96 transactions a month already. Thanks! |

I have heard that the PayPal MC cards do not count towards either of those limits.

Is there any sort or volume of signature transaction with PPBD that would get your account closed? Or do they primarily care about getting their swipe fees?
