She was super nice and basically went to the shelf where all the cards are on display (prolly 100's if not less) and went thru each and every card and finally found the one matching my receipt. She mentioned that may be I grabbed two cards (which were sticking together) and Cashier scanned the one at the bottom (or top) and while I was busy picking up some other stuff at the counter , the other fell through ( the one that scanned) and they usually put it back on the shelf. I was amazed how this things played out in the end.

Glad it worked out. Consider yourself really lucky that nobody bought that card or the funds were drained. I hope you take the lesson learned to take 10 seconds to just double check the last 4 digits of the card and receipt. It will save you the headache and the stress of worrying about your funds. Although it is kind of weird that you had 2 PP cards "sticking together" and the wrong one was scanned. Wouldn't the cashier know when they separated the cards that they didn't scan the other one? OH well.

Yes it worked!

I am clueless of exactly what happened but I am just happy that it worked out in the end. My wf cards promo are over now and I feel lot relax. Last few weeks have been really crazy. :p

I got greedy and had 4 accounts(two people) shutdown....only thing new was loading serve but I assume that wasn't it. I called in and was fired as a customer and funds will be held for 180 days. This shutdown hurts!

That stinks. Were you including daily spend via PPBDC on this account, portal deposits (and other payments), or just loading and unloading?

Did pp gave reasons for shutting down all 4 accounts? Would you mind sharing what you were doing that led to your accounts shutdown? Were all 4 accounts PPBDC?

Cardinal sin - Sent money to other person's account and then withdrew. Only one DC. Worked like a charm with two accounts for a year. Got greedy with two more accounts and only lasted a few more months...just started loading Serve with one card.

I had read that people got a warning for this activity so I took the chance and got shutdown without the warning. Called in and was told PP no longer wants to do business with you and will hold funds for 180 days.

I don't think they can legally hold your funds. After all, they are YOUR funds. I would contact the CPB if I was you. PP shouldn't get away with crap like this. Closing your account is one thing, but holding your funds is something completely different.

From reading this thread, it doesn't seem like there is any real consensus on safe activity with PP when using two separate accounts (diff SSNs, diff home addresses, both with PPBDC) all funded by PPMC? There are some obvious things to avoid, but I can't discern much that is absolutely safe.

I have multiple accounts for different "businesses." Never sent money to another account. Never a problem.

Quick question - I live in the Los Angeles area and noticed that the usual rite aid/CVS has not been stocking the PPMC anymore for the past 2-3 months. 3 Different RA's and 3 Different CVS, finally found one that had a few PPMC in stock. Is anyone finding this to be true or am I just visiting the stores after others have beat me to the punch?

GTFan Oct 6, 2014 11:49 am

Yep, the PPMC stock is very unreliable at both RA and CVS now. Some of my CVS don't even carry it anymore, and RA only restocks once a month or so.

MO.

Don't push it to your checking.

Load small amounts to BB or Serve.
