I think I read sometime ago that someone's account was under review because of too many reload failures, don't know if it is true or not but I wouldn't do reload every day.

I attempted to load $2500 for my second round after not using my WF for like 2 months, I then got this Email:

"We have closed your Wells Fargo Prepaid Card account. Do not attempt to use the card as it will be retained by the merchant per our direction. We have closed this account due to what we have determined to be inappropriate spending/purchasing activity intended to perpetrate fraudulent activity.

This account cannot be reopened.
Please do not reply to this message as this mailbox is not monitored and you will not receive a response. If you have any questions, please call us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-866-360-2857.
Thank you."

Does this mean I am kicked out of WF?

it appears to be that way.

many accounts getting locked or closed these days.

no recent reports of being able to reopen.

i think you just sit and wait for them to refund your funding source now.

Probably, though it's not too big of a loss now that they are ending non-WF funding on May 1.

Wells Fargo Prepaid Cards

I got shut down too. They put my remaining balance (900) back on my Chase card. I was hoping for a heck in the mail. I'd urge people to start cashing out since this dies next month anyway.

Is it possible to provide a timeline from when you got the shutdown email to when the credit appeared on your Chase card? I used a Chase card as well and haven't gotten the credit for the remaining balance yet ... it's been about 9 days (7 business days) for me.

While I can live with the float, it is not an insignificant amount.

Loaded 2000 using South West card today. Had previously loaded $2500 on 2/28 using same card when I ordered WFPP card.

Has anyone tried to load using Chase British Airways card? I tried $2500 and got declined. I called BA and the rep told me $2500 is over my Cash Advanced limit. I know Chase will record the transaction as cash advanced first than change to sale transactions but I want to make sure this is the case because I don't want to pay cash advanced fee and not get the miles.
