So should we just go crazy on the CC transactions in April, seeing as how few of us will use it come 5/1?

Where do you see this? I'm also an early charter member and didn't notice anything in the email that indicates I can keep using my credit card and pay no fees - I would need to pay a 3% processing fee.

Credit Limits for Early Adopters

Users who joined Venmo prior to March 16, 2012 are subject to the same transactional limits described here(link) for transactions funded by bank accounts and credit cards. However, in appreciation for being an early adopter of Venmo, we are happy to extend to you an increased allowance for fee-free credit card transactions!

While your allowance may vary based on transaction history and the completeness of your Venmo profile, we offer a maximum of $2,000 worth of credit card-funded transactions without a fee each calendar month. This allowance resets on the first of every month, and applies to the amount your spend on all your credit cards in total, not just on an individual card.

If you would like to make payments totaling more than $2,000 each month, you may change your Funding Source to your bank account (read more about how to do that here), or transfer in money from your bank account to your Venmo balance (instructions can be found here). Payments funded by your Venmo balance are always free and unlimited!

We never went above the limit (actually usually 1/2 of it), so it's good to see that we can continue using Venmo to supplement our Williampaid and Amazon activities.

I guess we never aroused their suspicion because our payments are always in one direction, and around the same amount each month to cover the mortgage plus perhaps a little extra for bills.

Now I need to figure out how to stop my SO's panic attack tomorrow morning after they read that email.

Got the email too, how depressing I only had a limit of $500 for each my wife and my account, so the moving back and forth of $500 did get us $1K of CC rewards, so only thing left is Amazon right? :/

So...about the fee change for Venmo, is that $500 fee-free on your credit card per month, or for the lifetime of your card for new customers?

Exclamation Early Adopters only have until May 1st, 2012 for no-fee transfers..

It seems as though either 1.) Venmo recently put a stop-date in for free credit card transfers for early adopters, or 2.) amolkold left off the stop-date. Either way, we have until May 1st to use the Venmo goodness.

Please note that after May 1st, your allowance for free credit card transactions will change. If you have made less than $500 in credit card-funded transactions throughout the lifetime of your Venmo account, you will still be able to make free credit card transactions until you have reached the $500 threshold. If the volume of your transactions has exceeded $500 during the lifetime of your Venmo account, if you still choose to fund your transactions via credit card, you will be subject to a small processing fee. Please read more about this fee here.

@kevinjrwagner,

For the lifetime of your account...which is even worse than the two options you mentioned.
