Good to know about the VANs. Thanks
Maxing out never seemed prudent to me, but glad to know you can! I guess I play this really cautiously, cuz I only use one account, it's mine, and I buy 50% of all my purchases on amazon! |
Thanks YouDontKnowMe!

Amazon will NOT shut down your Amazon account just because you are banned from Amazon Payments. Why would they? To them, shutting down your AP account is a 'hey, no hard feelings, but, we don't want you to use this service anymore' thing. They still want to make money off you on their other services.

Getting blacklisted from Amazon Payments is different and separate from getting blacklisted from Amazon itself. I don't think anyone's had their Amazon account, in its entirety, shut down because of their Amazon Payments account activity.

Amazon - isn't that the outfit soon to be charging sales tax on purchases (at least here in Texas?). They gonna cancel my account for disuse as opposed to abuse?:D
|
Just to add a confirmation data point to the above discussion: my Amazon Payments account was suspended last year, but my Amazon purchase account remained completely functional.

DO NOT send a single $1000 transaction each month. Split it up into 2 or 3 and make the amounts appear as it you are buying something. Maybe $461.17 and $525.50. Try NOT to make it add up to exactly $1000.
DO NOT "ping Pong" the money between 2 accounts. Anotherwords, don't send $1000 to a friend ( real or imagined ) and have the friend send it back to you. Remember, you need a linked bank account to make this work so use it. Send money to a friend using AP, the friend withdraws the money and sends you a check or gives you cash. Amazon sees a one way purchase transaction which is exactly what they want. If your imaginary friend is you, make sure each account uses different CC's and bank accounts, preferrably in different banks. DO NOT use Amazon Payments as your only purchases to meet your spending threshold. Banks won't look kindly to - Month 1 $1000 AP, Month 2 $1000 AP, Month 3 $1000 AP, then spending stops. Mix it up with some normal purchases. Now, what I consider an important DO. Use your Amazon Payments account for normal things. Make an Amazon purchase from time to time, don't take all the money out as soon as you receive it. In fact, always maintain a small balance of $20 or so. I hope this has been helpful |
Not so fast - the red stuff sometimes attracts cardinals, or at least keeps them amused after you have otherwise attacted their attention. You might just be lucky or perhaps that day Cardinal Fang ran out of rope, stakes, kindling and matches.
Don't forget fear and surprize...surprize and fear

Really? I could have sworn I seen posts from people getting blacklisted from Amazon for "abuse" of amazon payments. What you say makes perfect sense, though.
I have been 'unable' to use AP for about a year |
