West Coast Malaysia had to be cancelled & Puri postponed to Advent

West Coast USA also shares the same fate as West Coast Malaysia but for other sad reasons including the recent fracas in Seattle near where meetings are , plus coupled with Homecoming game ( have complimentary ticket ( s ) too ) & cruise ships in port & other games , only the FS suites were available when hoping to reserve weeks ago - which was fine until the rates popped up & this warrants a good think as can probably almost have RR or Bentley with the amount !!

I just want to note that Paris has been crazy booked out for 6 months now. All hotels are sold out or nearly so. And obviously prices have been insane. London has been busy too, but Paris is off the hook. I thought it would let up by now, but the demand is still going strong. Good for the hoteliers!

It’s certainly not stereotypical luxury but don’t want to spend 2 full weeks at Amanzoe this time and don’t have any desire to visit Costa Navarino. The well heeled Athenians that I know have loved it so thought about giving it a chance.

I find luxury in Greece these days can be positively surprising as standards have increased a lot but at the same time want to steer away from the traditional Greek luxury destinations and see more of the country. Had a flawless stay for example last summer at the Island Concept in Crete (to the point that I was much better than some of the big names) - completely unexpected but one of my best stays of the year (was only there due to a wedding in the area).
