Yes, I’m not against sharing, happens with the Limo at FRA, it’s the way FRAPORT manage to squeeze an unimaginable number of people into a Cobus

Often arriving in Z, and need to get to A. Since I travel in F, I still hope to get picked-up and driven to the FCT: never happened so far.
End up in clearing security, then passport (and especially the security is so inefficient...).
Would it be faster to... exit and re-enter airport directly at FCT?

It would be quicker to leave the terminal and walk to the FCT if you want to avoid transfer security. They won’t drive you to the FCT.

Where do you arrive from? Some arrivals in Z are clean but others are not. If you arrive on the upper level of Z pier (e.g. gate Z69A) you will have to clear transfer security (and passport control if departing from A).

Will try and exit airport, see if that's any faster. Thanks!

After automatic doors at the end of the pier go straight down to passport control and through baggage claims. Leave the terminal, turn left and it’s about 5 minutes walk to the FCT.

From Z to C13 take the Skyline train. From a B gate to C13 you can take the Skyline train or just walk. It may be slightly quicker to take the Skyline train but not much. Whichever way you go there is security before C13.
LH seems to sell this connection rather than LH901 > LH694 which allows two hours in FRA, so they must be happy with a one hour connection.
You don't need to go through passport control but there is a separate security for TLV departures.

Will I just need to go through security once at gate C13 or is there first additional security just to get into the C concourse?
Also, if I see that my flight is getting delayed while still at LHR, how amenable would LH be to rebooking me on the LY nonstop if it starts seeming dubious that I'll make the connection? In case it's relevant, I have zero status and would be traveling on an inexpensive K class ticket originating in the US.
Thanks!

If you have to go through security and passport control, it's often quicker to just get out of the building and walk to the FCT (and way shorter than one hour) (note that the F lounge in A is not an "FCT" but "FCL"-- the FCT is a stand alone building dedicated as a departure lounge for F and HON Circle). There are hundreds of posts here debating the pros and cons of going to the FCT v. FCL A or B when connecting at FRA.

Flying to Israel via Frankfurt, what do I need to know about the connection
Regarding your second question it’s highly unlikely they will put you on a non-alliance carrier flight in LHR since there is a later LH flight from FRA to TLV.

I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to your first question. I know there is security by the gate for C13 departures but I don’t know if there is security when you enter the C concourse because I haven’t left from a C gate for a long time. The only relevant discussion on FT I can find is in the UA forum but it’s not clear if you have to clear security twice if you are not going to a lounge.

FRA map seems to agree.

In May, I have flown from gate D14 ( C14 ) on a Pegasus flight and I could verify that the security checkpoint near gate C13/D13 is regular security for FRA joining passengers and also been used for non-clear transfer passengers. At the same time as my flight, at gate C13, a TLV flight was going to be shortly boarding and the hallway between gate C13 and C14 was blocked with a glass wall so IMO, at the security checkpoint located at the FRA Map, there should be designated lanes for the TLV flight ( regular security ) which would be followed by the extra gate security checks.

Hey all - I'll be flying into FRA on Lufthansa 427 (PHL-->FRA) in Business Class and then will have a few hour layover before connecting on ward - however my connecting flight will be in *Economy*. Will my Business Class arrival ticket get me access to any LH arrivals lounge? I also have Priority Pass so can use one of those lounges, I suppose, but wanted to maximize my LH experience if possible. Any thoughts?

I’m not sure if the Luxx Lounge ( the only contract lounge in Terminal 1 ) accepts Priority Pass and that lounge is also located at the landside.
Alternatively, you could take the Skyline to Terminal 2 and use one of the Priority Pass lounges over there. I won’t suggest this option if your layover is shorter than 3h-3h30mins.
Be aware that, in all three cases, you would need to clear security again

You could use the Arrivals Lounge in Frankfurt with your J class boarding pass. However, if your onward flight is to a Non-Schengen destination, you should clear immigration at both ways.

The Frankfurt-France flight would be considered as domestic.
