Some insane prices for those prison-like hotel “rooms” at my cloud these days. I suppose it’s a very attractive solution because of immigration restrictions, which is why prices are so high...

At least they have the hotel option now... before the only option was a camp bed in one section of the concourse. Which is still available by the way. It seems a lot of people are misconnecting or not being allowed to board because of missing test paperwork, so they have to camp in those dreaded camp beds while they wait for their next flight and get the required covid test sorted out.

Hi all,
I read when looking at hotels that a room can't be booked for tourism purposes. I might have a 16h transit time @ FRA coming up. Can I book a hotel by the airport? I'm allowed to enter Germany, just can't find anything about that particular case.

Yes, travellers in transit are allowed to stay in hotels (if they are open). Just make sure to contact the hotel in advance and ask what they need to register you. Each hotel has set up different procedures.

Just keep in mind that a delay for your flight and missing the connection may mean that the next available flight they can put you on may be in a while, since frequencies are much reduced these days.

Thanks Guys, one way the next flight is 8hrs later, the other it's the following week! (Though I suspect I would not be the only one & I think they would hold). The alternative is a 4 hour connection which isn't too bad.

Anybody could explain this? Doesn't make sense in itself because transfer security is required everythere, so where you could get with passport control? My flight will probably arrive at Z6x and I would like to get big mac at B concourse
The “official” route from Z to B is to take the Skyline train and go through security in B. McDonald’s in B is right next to transfer security.
