I never said, it was FCL staff. Since it has been a while I can't remember, whether it was LH or airport staff. But she was standing there with a big HON sign in hand and my understanding is, this was supposed to be a pure HON pickup.

In the end I don't care, I know MUC well enough to find my ways. But if they offer a service they should better know about it.

Thumbs up

[QUOTE=Fendant;A shining example is the receptionist in the shower area, where you have probably the friendliest employee ( the lady from Africa ) in the whole Lufthansa world ( even at 5 am in the morning ). I have never seen her since the lounge opened in anything than good mood. ^^^[/QUOTE]

Fully agree with you! She is always friendly and smiling! ^^^

I had the opportunity to visit the MUC FCL last week. I was quite disappointed with the Breakfast offerings compared to the FRA FCL/FCT... The only thing cooked to order was Eggs, other than that there was limited selection: Cold cut meat of not so good quality, smoked salmon that was too fishy, and only one cheese selection.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Here's the Menu selection as of May 2009:

BREAKFAST:
  • Salami/ South Bavarian Ham
  • Scottish Salmon
  • Cottage Cheese/Camebert

Freshly Cooked - Eggs from the Organic Farm:
  • Eggs cooked as you Like
  • Scrambled Eggs/Omelette/Fried Egg of your own choice with Bacon, Sausage, Herbs, Grilled Tomatos (from Buffet)
  • Bread roll/Baguette/ Toast/ Leven Bread/ Butter Corissant/ Danish Pastry
  • Jams/Honey
- - - - - - - - - - - -
LUNCH/DINNER

Starters from the Buffet
  • Antipasti
  • Sushi Selection
  • Baby Leaf Salad with Various Toppings

Soups:
  • Cream of Asparagus Soup
  • Beef Consomme with Semolina Dumplings

Round the World - Welcome to Australia
  • Barramundi Fillet on Tomato-Mango-Chutney with Curry rice cookes

"Viennese" Schnitzel with warm potato Salad

Asparagus Special - Just as you like it
- Fresh Asparagus from Schrobeinhausen with New potatoes and Hollandaise Sauce or Butter
served with
- Beef "Steer" Filet Steak
- "Viennese" Schnitzel
- Medium Fried Filet of Veal Tenderloin
- Raw or Cooked Ham

Bavarian Delicacies
  • Munchener Weisswuerste with Sweet Mustard
  • Bavarian Meat Loaf
  • Fried Sausage from Nuremberg on Sauerkraut

Desserts from the Buffet
  • Creme Brulee served in a Jam Jar
  • Strawerry Tiramisu
  • Fresh Fruit Salad with Berries and Acacia Honey
  • Passionfruit-Yogurt-Creme

ACfly please come back to Earth! What do you want to have freshly cooked for berakfast other than eggs in all varieties? Do you really think that they plant funghi on warm milk to create a ACfly designer yoghurt? Do you expect steaks to be grilled at 5 am? IMHO the food, service and friendliness are all ways better than any lounge in the US or Canada. Yep you probably not get the peanuts form the AC lounge, are treated with respect and get a choice of 2 different real good draught beers.

Seems you are one of these guys who insist on a limo and reject to enter the Mercedes vans!

Actually a breakfast steak + eggs is offered in many American diners and I quite like it. And I'm pretty sure the MUC FCL staff would prepare that for you if you ask nicely.

I'll be at the MUC FCL on June 2, albeit for lunch/dinner (1610 dep.) and that menu looks sehr ausgezeichnet. Certainly better than what UA will have in its FCL o/b from SFO (although it *is* SFO, which is a nice airport to dep. from).

Arriving HON Circle Members may continue to use the First Class Lounge without booking a connecting flight. In this case Lufthansa has received special permission from the authorities to allow you to pass through the security control on Departure Level H without having another boarding pass.

Occasionally long hauls leave from outpositions even in MUC, and then you'll get the driver. But it doesn't happen often enough to count on it And of course the driver would only be to the SIN-bound plane, not all the way to Singapore

Little OT advice for very hungry morning arrivals at MUC:
The MUC airport Kempinski (just at the airport) has some real excellent breakfast with a huge warm selection too. Think it is open to external visitors as it's not included in the room's price.

This one:

I got picked up at a remote location this week LEJ-MUC since I was o/b MUC-SFO in F. Shook my friend's hand goodbye as he climbed aboard the bus and hopped in the limo. Nice experience although I would've survived the bus.

We (me and my wife) have an 11:15a flight MUC-CLT (LH F) and we will be staying the night before at Marriott Munich. What is your advice on what time should we arrive at the airport to maximize our FCL experience?

Also, where should we ask to be dropped off and what to expect as LH F pax? Is there a service that gets you through passport control, etc.?

Is there a car service for MUC-CLT flight?
