MUC Sat FCL certainly makes up for missing out on the FCL at ZRH (at least for the one in A). :tu:

It does, with Pol Roger 2016 on offer, best lounge in LHG currently :tu: & after a few 🥂 you can forget all about Heimat :D

Unfortunately, none of my upcoming F-flights touch MUC and the last planned visit didn't happen due to the strike. So enjoy and keep us posted!

It seems the new regional C menu is (finally) ready to launch, they are inviting people for tasting on Oct 10 & 11.

they need to confirm just how little improvement they can make so that it registers

And there is no better way to get objective results than such an event, where selection bias, performance bias and confirmation bias come into play.
Why don't they just corral a bunch of influencers and credit card shillers?

What makes you think they want to improve? Management might just as well think LH is overachieving. After all, people keep buying their tickets.

Hopefully also the size of offering is evaluated. Sometimes I'm really surprised by a serving that wouldn't even suffice as a starter...

Any word on when it will be available onboard?

I'm assuming the tasting is a soft launch prior to the introduction in W24/25, but who knows.

Just received a New Year’s email in the name of Jens Ritter and Heiko Reitz, containing the paragraph below which states Lufthansa is “currently working on optimizing the catering concept in Business Class on our short- and medium-haul routes”.

They say this is something we can look forward to. The proof will be in the eating, but if they do make serious improvements, it will be another point in favour of making the switch from BA now that they’ve wrecked their FFP.

There must be a reason why they use the term 'optimizing' rather than the much more straightforward (and necessary) 'improving' :(

Idealistic, romantic and naive as I am I want to believe that using "improving" would have implied that their catering isn't good enough now and that they in fact just want to make it better:p.
Experience with LH in these cases doesn't necessarily give cause for such an optimistic outlook, though.

Currently working on is the part that worries me most, if its anything like the speed of the Allegris rollout ( debacle )

That just means that they're in the kitchen now preparing a year's worth of snacks. Then everything will go into the deep freeze.
