I posted earlier, regarding a STR-BRU ( LX outbound, EW inbound). The outbound was cancelled, i tried called LH, to no avail, busy lines. I then proceeded to call
EW who told me to call LH or LX. I got through to LX, asked for a refund, they cancelled my ticket and said I'd receive my refund within 14 working days. Kudos to LX customer service.
For those who are wondering, it seems possible to get a refund!

Has anyone heard anything about brussels airlines and if they will be extending their period of inactivity past 15 May? I would imagine so, but as it stands, you can book all sorts of flights as normal for 15 May to destinations that certainly will not let you in...

So, now the flights are cancelled until 01 June 2020:

Did you get an email confirmation of your refund? I phoned Brussels after I got my cancellation email on Monday and they said it would be processed back to my credit card (with no timescale given), but I never got an email confirmation of that. They said they can't provide an email confirmation of it (I did ask!) but she was verbally confirming it was being processed.
