Unfortunately all the pictures shown are the renderings of the Qatar B77X cabin

Only this one is for LH

You consider BA Club World claustrophobic? Have you have flown Economy on any airline?

As for the first pictures, released last year, the seat looks pretty decent IMHO.

Yes I do. Luckily my last long haul flight in Y was a long time ago.

The article also claims that the new product Willen „exclusive“ to the 777 and will not be installed on any other aircraft type in LH‘s fleet. I very much doubt that, as it would mean that the bulk oh LH‘s long-haul fleet would keep the old cabin for many years to come.

Nothing really new in the article? In December the seat was shown to 150 SEN/HON in FRA at an event...

Somebody published a video of a screengrab of the VR which is probably available at the AIX19 tradeshow in HAM this week:

Interesting. Frankly I just can‘t tell why but I think the colors and the design just do not look nice at all... I have yet to be convinced by this new seat...

Looks good to me. Simple colors. White can never be wrong. The navy blue is fine too. Seats appear wide on the video.

Looks like the seat will be supplied by Thompson Aero. The first prototype is ready, production will start soon to prepare for the installation into the B779 in June 2020.

That are some good news. I have much confidence in Thompson.

With the delay of the B779 EIS the launch date of the new seat is also in jeopardy now. My guess is that they will do the same they did in 2012 with the B748 delay: split the efforts and start getting the same seat ready for another aircraft (A330 in Q2/2012). My guess is the A359 deliveries that are supposed to resume in Q2/2020. Some of the A359 frames were already pushed back from January to March 2020.

Is anyone rushing to book a seat on the 779?

I know I'm not until it has been flying for a couple of years - safely. No on board fires, no software pilots know nothing about and haven't been trained to use.

I'll be steering clear.
