FRA - RAK (Marrakech)

According to http://airlineroute.net/2014/07/03/lh-frarak-oct14/

Lufthansa from 02OCT14 is introducing Frankfurt – Marrakech operations, initially operating once a week with Airbus A320 Sharklet aircraft. This service will increase to 2 weekly from 26OCT14, with Airbus A320.

LH1332 FRA1105 – 1355RAK 320 47

It looks like LH has stopped operating the KIX-NRT tag flight — see http://flightaware.com/live/flight/DLH740 and flightaware.com/live/flight/DLH741 . Currently LH740/LH741 is just a FRA-KIX round trip, with the last KIX-NRT // NRT-KIX operating on 30 June.

This is confusing because the FRA-NRT nonstop LH710/LH711 has not yet begun to operate. I do see FRA-NRT LH710 beginning on 21 Jul.

So for the first three weeks of July, there is no way to fly on LH metal from FRA to NRT?! (You can get to HND, so things are perfectly fine for o&d pax, just a bit weird for connections.)

At least if you are flying TSE-RAK, you get to stop in VIE to stretch your legs and take some ibuprofen tablets...

JFK-FRA down to 1x daily mid-Jan to end March 2015

Looks like JFK-FRA will be down to one daily flight (LH400/LH401) for the deep winter season (from around mid-January 2015 until the start of the summer schedule (29 March 2015)). Don't ever recall LH404/405 not operating for such a long stretch before....

LH404/405 has already been removed from most GDS systems it seems...

I logged in to check on my reservation and saw that my LH404 flight in September had been changed from the 747-400 to the 747-8i. I know I sound silly but I am little disappointed as I was looking forward to trying out the seat-and-bed setup before it went away. Oh well.

I just saw this too for early October. I thought it may have been a glitch on the UA system as I am flying EWR-ZRH-IST & FRA-JFK that I booked through UA.com for J over and F on the way back.
The bed novelty was going to be a "bonus" but something I don't think I actually would have needed to use on the day flight back to NY, so I am kind of excited to be on the 748 F.

Seems like the JFK 747-8 has come at the expense of Mumbai;

According to;
http://airlineroute.net/2014/07/08/lh-bom-jul14update2/

Lufthansa has cancelled planned Boeing 747-8I operations on Frankfurt – Mumbai route, due to start from 15JUL14. The airline will continue to operate Boeing 747-400 aircraft on this route.

LH756 FRA1330 – 0100+1BOM 744 D
LH757 BOM0305 – 0855FRA 744 D
and http://airlineroute.net/2014/07/08/lh-jfk-jul14/

Lufthansa from 15JUL14 is introducing Boeing 747-8I operations on Frankfurt – New York JFK route, on LH404/405 service, replacing Boeing 747-400. The 747-8I is currently scheduled to operate until 25OCT14.

LH400 FRA1035 – 1300JFK 388 D
LH404 FRA1710 – 1950JFK 74H D

LH401 JFK1555 – 0530+1FRA 388 D
LH405 JFK2145 – 1120+1FRA 74H D

Very weird: according to http://airlineroute.net/2014/07/12/lh-nrt-jul14update2/ , Lufthansa from 20 Jul thru 25 Oct will operate FRA-NRT with a 747-400 but will sell it as two-cabin equipment?

Indeed I see doing a sample booking online that if you book J you can pre-reserve an upper deck F seat for a €500 surcharge. How does this work — can you get the upper-deck seats at check-in for free? Do all pax always pay this surcharge?

It's been discussed elsewhere (can't find it right now), but you get the F seat with J service for 500€. Most probably not worth it, unless on a night flight.

Per airline route CCS down to 3 weekly.

All airlines are doing the same given the dispute with the government.
DL from Daily to weekly
UA from Daily to 4 weekly.
AA from 48 weekly to 10/14 weekly in Jul/Aug
AZ cnx
AC cnx
AF from Daily to 5 weekly

Lufthansa from 01AUG14 is reducing Frankfurt – Caracas operation, where it’ll operate 3 weekly flights, instead of 5 weekly. Airbus A330-300 aircraft operates this route.

LH534 FRA1025 – 1430CCS 333 146
LH535 CCS1650 – 0925+1FRA 333 146

Currently the 3 weekly flights is scheduled until 25OCT14. Winter schedule on/after 26OCT14 is pending.

Any?

Are they pulling out then, due to the ME3?
