No 747-8 to IAD in Nov? [merged 748i route & deliveries discussion]
What routes do people think the 747-800i will be deployed on first? my guess is some of the prime 747 market routes in the USA. I for one have my fingers crossed that IAD will recieve one of thes new birds.

Depending on the biliteral agreement between Germany and Israel - TLV.
The 747 is very frequent here, filled to the brim, and it would allow them to compete even more fiercely with LY, and now that TK is less popular due to inter-country politics, there is a bunch of people who liked to connect at IST that may be willing to consider connecting in FRA.

I am sure that they will rapidly switch back to IST once they have been through the disorganised FRAnkensteins hell with their grumpy staff.

I have to believe it will debut on FRA- to some US city becasue the 747s are used quite frequently on us routes.

How LH will put on 748I is FRA-LAX, MEX, MCO, ORD or IAH. That will be possibility for which one is that. If LH will introduce the first newest 747-8I. LH will have a decide to choosing for which the route will be. Let's wait and see. Try to be patient for a while.

it would have to go out on a limb and say JFK and IAD could also be in the cards for the new 747
