Determining LH Y/E/C/F loads? [the help me guesstimate loads thread]

As a general data point for this thread, my flights last week (DEN-FRA-DEN on LH447, LH446) were both overbooked in C and had to have volunteers take a seat in Y. LH446 was oversold in both PE and C.

Trying to get two upgrades Y to C for LH457 LAX-FRA in October. It's an A380 with 78 C seats according to SeatGuru. We're flexible with days.
Is there a rule of thumb which day of the week has lower load in biz for this route, or US West coast to Germany in general? Arrival is around noon a day later and I'm not sure how that affects biz travel. Lots of C class traffic on Sat or Sun?

The good news is that July 1st is the start of a long holiday weekend in the USA. Otherwise, Saturdays are normally not the best of times for TATL upgrades, although I suspect it's worse eastbound with westbound normally being harder on Sundays.

Looking for some assistance on loads for LH#456 and LH#452 for either September 5th or 6th (or even the 7th).
Looking to use United GPUs to Upgrade from Y to C, so trying to see if there is upgrade space currently, so I can clear on booking!

Thanks... does that mean with LH, upgrade and award space are the same bucket? (As you know, with United they are separate and having space in one does not mean space in the other).

Both come from I/O, there is no official separate inventory bucket. If there is award space, the upgrade will either clear straightaway or overnight from waitlist.

Looks pretty good: PE is slightly oversold and the A346 has the smaller C config. F still has 4 seats available. My guesstimate is your upgrade will clear.
