Load in C on LH 455 (SFO-FRA), Sep 15

Folks, help me guesstimate the current business
class load on LH 455 (SFO-FRA) on Saturday,
September 15. I am trying to gauge my
chances of being able to use a United SWU/GPU
to upgrade from economy on the day of travel if
I book this flight instead of UA's own flights
(where an upgrade is unlikely, but at least I am
guaranteed an Economy+ seat).

Flightstats is showing J/9 C/9 D/9 Z/0 P/0, but
I'd like to get a sense whether C is half-empty
or getting close to selling out.

The other flight I am potentially considering is
LH 419 (IAD-FRA) on Sunday, September 16.
This one is showing J/9 C/9 D/9 Z/9 P/7.
Availability in Z and P seems promising...

Thanks!

Counting empty seats in C on the A380, today 8/19 there are 38 empty in a 98 seat cabin.
LH417 16 Sept IAD FRA has 22 empty in a 48 seat C cabin on the A343.
Good luck.

LH440 9/13

Can anyone help me guesstimate the C load on LH440 FRA-IAH on Thur. Sept. 13? I'm hoping to upgrade a Y fare purchased through UA (flight number shows LH, not a UAxxxx). Is there a T- time that LH traditionally opens up the I fare bucket if seats remain? I know for pure mileage bookings, LH frequently opens up premium cabins T-4 days or so but I don't know about the *A upgrade seats.

Thanks.

vbroucek - Thank you so much for the great assistance! As a (somewhat novice) Mac user, I've been having issues with CrossOver and KVS so I really appreciate the insight into loads. Thanks.

Most likely upgrade opportunity to FRA?

Heading to FRA; could leave Sun Sep 23 or Mon Sep 24. Could come home between Sat Sep 29 to Tue Oct 2. Could fly out of/back to ORD, LAX, and/or EWR. Any thoughts on combinations most likely to have GPU availability? Thanks.

SUN flights out of ORD are always packed and hard to get an upgrade using your GPU. Try Tuesday's or Wednesday's as the chances are much better and loads in premium classes are not too heavy.

Determining LH Y/C/F loads? [the help me guesstimate loads thread]

Thanks for the reply. The Sunday flights to FRA do look more full so far.

Interestingly the return flights to ORD are nearly full on Saturday evening but so far the Sunday flights are relatively open. Tuesday flights are also better than Monday.

Any thoughts on which cities are generally easier to upgrade?

YYZ as they have low loads in F class + JFK and EWR due to high frequency out of these two airports.

Could anybody help me with loads on FRA IAH on Sept 22nd?
It is LH440 flight I think.

I can see only some seats free in Y. Not sure if LH has the habbit to overbook these flights?

THanks

They are still selling F and expensive Business (J booking class) seats. Looking at the seat map the flight genuinely seems quite full in C.

But there are still a lot of Y seats according to your loads. That is strange because I could count the number of available seats easily.
