I've seen that happen a few times. I think that LH release the seats in lower buckets if they see that they will never be able to sell all the seats in the C cabin. Instead they are counting on many opups to C. Also, just because we see one availability on the nonstop flight there may be another depending on connections.

Could one of the experts around here please give me an insight in the booking situation of tommorrow's , aug 12th, LH 493 YVR - FRA. I just wonder whether I have to expect a cramped ride in Y or it might even be overbooked so that VDB becomes an option.
