Can someone check this flight for me please. Would someone mind checking the following flights for me? I'm buying into PE (G fare), but looking to use a GPU into C. GPU is applied and waitlisted

That doesn’t look good for the upgrade huh? Chest La Vie - at least the worst case scenario is Prem Econ

nvmd - woke up this morning to a "Change in reservation" and upgrade to business

Seems like FRA/MUC-LAX isn't releasing a single F award space even at schedule release.. has this been happening for awhile?

LH works differently than some other airlines/programs. Most F award space is made available to non-status pax around two weeks before the date of departure. Some F award space is made available earlier on, usually exclusively to SEN/HON. On occasion, non-status pax may get lucky and find F award space, say, six months out.

But F award space being made available at schedule release would be the exception rather than the rule when it comes to LH.

Strange as I thought that two week trend was more to partner programs rather than M&M itself, but thanks for the insight.

I was going to ask essentially the same question as I now have 3 LH flights that have waitlisted for GPU upgrades and 0 that have cleared, two of them are Y->C and one is C->F.

A clarifying question on the status vs HON/SEN statement above. Is *A Gold (UAL 1k) considered no status or with status in this context? When should I expect these things to clear if I'm lucky enough to have them clear?

Secondly, would someone mind checking these flight loads for me (two of them were provided above but I'd like to see what they look like now since everything waitlisted on me). Thanks!

There have been epic discussions around priority of status levels for upgrades and IIRC it's a combination of status level and PCV, though there has been a tendency to prioritize "own" elites over *G.

Is there a way to see upgrade availability on Lufthansa across a week or so? I am trying to book BLR-BOS roundtrip from mid-Jan 2019 to late Feb 2019 and upgrading to Business. How are you seeing the availabilities posted above? Thanks for the help!

www.experflyer.com

alternatively you can use

KVS Availability Tool: Global Flight Availability, Award Availability, Fares, Timetables, Seat Maps

My screengrab does not include any award/upgrade booking classes. These can be retrieved, too, but availability of seats in those classes also depends on whether you want to use M&M miles vs. *A/Partner miles and your M&M Status.
