Brown is also a part of Lufthansa color palette ever since Lufthansa First class terminal was introduced.

What i meant to say is that seats will not be brown, but rather gray.

B747-8 to be delivered to LH in March! (for those who don't follow airliners.de (nothing to do with the geek forum "airliners.net"))

Yesterday was the first test flight of D-ABYA.

Delivery of course doesn't mean that LH will instantly start using the aircraft, it took them a while until they brought the A380 into regular service.

First offical photo of cockeyed LH Business Class Flatseat

It's out now - after rumoring about it, I opened a new thread for discussing the reality of the new seat:

The new cockeyed LH Business Class Flatseat

In the advance issue of next weeks Wirtschaftswoche which I received today, there is a LH-photograph of the new seat on page 74. It is indeed a B/E Aerospace armchair, priced 40.000 Euro and with 177 degree decline - since when flying, the planes nose is up by 3 degrees, so in air it should be at 180 degrees.

Sadly it is this strange cockeyed layout which was rumored here before, and LH are reporting the following reason: Your neighbour should not be able to look on your secret company details (or any other porn...) when you are working on your open laptop.

The photograph does not look too promising indeed, the striped pillow looks really cheapo - let's make the reality check from April, when these new 747/800s start to be used...

And let's hope there will be proper blankets and duvets, not these first-aid-blankets like the blue one showing up in front of the photograph!

Makes me a bit nervous. A great thing about good C products is the ability to talk and communicate with a travel partner, be it a SO or a business partner. But the seat looks to be more comfortable than the current one (fully lie flat = ^)

guys, planes which fly at a 3 deg angle are in slow down mode. happens when approach control orders it. Normally we talk in flight mode something between 0.3 deg and 1 deg at cruising altitude and speed. Nevertheless you would not notice the difference between 177 and 180 degs. Your pillow raises you head more.
Rather than launching a rant at something we have not tested, we should wait until we are able to try out the new arrangement in service.

Who's ranting about the 177 degrees? My post was about the /\ config as opposed to CO's BF config (which I thought it was going to be) which is \\ // //, or the other reported one // /\ \\ or \\ /\ // or \\ \/ //. /\ /\ /\ doesn't allow for easy 2-way communication

Is this the design where you stuck your feet above each other [means: your neighbors]?

In all the C configs I've ever flown, I've never stuck my feet above my neighbor's.
