OK, here goes, another newbie question...
I'm looking to travel on 4th Sept and return on either 18th, 19th or 20th Sept (preferably 19th) from LON to PDX, this would be for 3 people in total.
I have been looking on Kayak, Expedia, Ebookers, are there any other sites I should be looking at ?
I am a member of BA Executive club (not many points) & also the Virgin Atlantic scheme (no points). I usually fly this route once a year but prices seem to be increasing year on year. I am looking for flights only.
Thanks in Advance

Since you are based in the UK you may also like to try the following websites which compare airfares in addition to the ones you mention.

How can I get the calendar view when searching for awards? It's supposed to show when searching for a return trip, according to http://millionmilesecrets.com/2013/0...fthansa-award/, but it never shows up for me.

If awards are available for your route and dates you should get a calendar view. What route and dates are you looking for?

Yes and yes.
I'm looking for BGO-KUL/SIN in C/F mid-October, one-way. However, I don't have sufficient miles to check the taxes and fees yet, but found in the blog post mentioned in my previous post that I should be able to find them if searching for a return instead.
I've also tried searching only for FRA/ZRH-SIN/KUL for 2014 dates to get more results, to no avail.

Yeah, but it doesn't work for me when searching for a return. I also tried searching for destinations with much more availability, like FRA-BLR, but the results are still for one day (like in the screenshot above). Thanks anyway.

Some First awards are available for ZRH-SIN in mid-October as your screenshot shows, but I can't see any Business awards.

Seats
When looking at possible flights on Lufthansa, is there a way to see available seats before purchase?

Partner Plus Benefit program booking classes
Hi,
What LH booking classes are available for using PPB points to buy award tickets? What about for upgrades?
When used on partner carriers like UA - what booking classes are relevant then?
thanks

The account becomes permanent as soon as the first miles have been credited to your account. What exactly do you mean by "redeeming" miles? If you're referring to getting miles for the Star Alliance flights you've already taken credited to your account (aka retro-crediting), that has to be done by physical mail with a temporary card, so I suggest you wait for the first miles to be credited for a future flight (which will make you a permanent number), and then you can just retro-credit online. Don't forget to provide your temporary Miles & More number at check-in.
If this sounds confusing, don't worry, it's normal Just try to process as much information as you can and then ask away further.
