Actually a pillar/wall painted pink listing all the free shuttle lines mentioned above.

The M bus from LAX probably stops first at the new Aviation/Century station, which is now the new but temporary western terminus of the C Line. You can totally get off there too instead of the soon-to-be-renamed Aviation/LAX station. Just dont board the southbound K train.

The geofence may have expanded. Today I needed to cross Sepulveda to the Hyatt to cut Lyft's price from $30 to $10.

I'm pretty sure that the LAX Metro Connector shuttle currently serves only the Aviation/LAX Metro station, not the Aviation/Century station.

You had me Googling some more

C and K Line - LA Metro
Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Metro Connector shuttle to/from LAX still operate out of Aviation/LAX Station after service is reconfigured?

Yes, the Metro Connector shuttle to/from LAX will continue to operate out of Aviation/LAX Station after service is reconfigured, with a new stop at Aviation/Century. The shuttle will move to the new LAX/Metro Transit Center Station when the station opens at a later date.

Torrance 8 is now "temporarily" back on the Sepulveda tunnel route until the LAX Metro Transit Center Station is complete. This provides infrequent but welcome service to and from El Segundo.

If you want to call ahead while walking over the number is (310) 646-9177
Does this mean that you should call ahead, as there probably will not be taxis waiting?

BTW, do I read correctly that it's a fixed fare from LAX to Beverly Hills?

There generally are NOT taxis waiting there - think Ive only seen one waiting there once. Its a very small area.
Usually call once we get there and wait the few minutes. Coming into T7, we have called when leaving the terminal, saving maybe 2 minutes of wait time.

I dont know about the fixed fare.

That's true for one taxi company, Bell Cab.

I don’t know about the fixed fare.
To confirm what seems obvious, do you just call that number and ask for a taxi for the terminal 7 taxi stand? Give your name so someone else doesn't grab your taxi?

Aha! I usually see $51.15 LAX to/from downtown LA, but it looks like Beverly Hills is less expensive, at least for Bell.

Much cheaper than Uber Black (typically around $125), even if curbside pickup was quick.

EDIT: I'm guessing that if you call the taxi stand dispatch number you don't get to choose which taxi company you get?

Yes, thats how it works. Originally they didnt ask for a name, but recently they do.
Heard there were some issues about who got which taxi.

FWIW, you can walk inside from T6 to T7, just follow the signs to UA baggage claim. Then walk outside to the taxi stand. We called for a taxi, dispatch said 5 minutes, but is was there in about 2. Very bad phone connection. He didn't ask for our name. Someone was waiting for a taxi when we got there and one arrived almost immediately. Another person came after us and his taxi came while we were getting into ours.

I was surprised how bad traffic was to our hotel around 8pm.

Uber Black estimated around 5 minutes for curbside pickup (they're often optimistic) and about $140.

I haven't had the opportunity to try this. Waymo is operating in LA now. It can't go into LAX, but can pickup nearby. Maybe the transit center?
