In bound vehicle inspection usually only happens on the lower level and they are supposed to pick up on the upper level.

Used Uber from T4 this past week. Pick up was easy-meeting spot in front of the AA Flagship door on Arrivals level (employee bus zone) I will use again.

Were there any airport extra charges for Uber?

There still is no sign at T4. Noone seems to know why.

The two times we've now used Uber out of T4, we've given the Flagship Checkin as our reference point to the driver. Much closer to where we actually exit, and a known landmark. Also easier to pull in and pick up than in that mess between T4 and TBIT. |

Walked by the Flagship Check-In area and there was another UberX there waiting for his fare. Still missing the ride-share pickup sign in that area.

That article mentions a $4 drop off fee. What a ridiculous idea.
Would it be possible to set my destination for a hotel close to LAX and then tell the driver to keep driving to LAX to avoid the drop off fee? LAWA is trying stem the loss of parking fees that's why they are charging $4; a novel idea is to stop at IN N OUT on your way to LAX (if you have sufficient time). You can easily be dropped off there, grab lunch or dinner and then walk into the terminal area. This way you pay for lunch with the savings and burn some calories too. |
