Refundable (Top) ticket ?

Refundable (Top) ticket ?

Hi, has anyone experience with refundable tickets on LATAM ?

When I buy a refunable ticket in Top fare, how many hours/days in advance do I need to cancel to get 100% of my money back.
Is it possible to request a refund for example 1 hour before departure ?

How would I do so, can it be done online ?

The Top brand allows refunds before and after departure without penalties, on the other hand, on the Plus brand there is a higher surcharge after departure. You can view the details of your fare on the page where you enter your payment details.

You can request the refund online or with the contact center.

Thanks for your reply. Indeed it did show refund before and after departure without penalties on the details page as you said.

BUT when I checked the fare rules it seems like cancellations AFTER departure are not allowed after all. This is the first time ever that I'm booking a fully refundable fare, and I think the infos regarding fares and refunds on the LATAM website are confusing and contradicting.

CANCELLATIONS
BEFORE DEPARTURE
CANCELLATIONS PERMITTED FOR REFUND.
TICKET IS NON-REFUNDABLE IN CASE OF NO-SHOW.
AFTER DEPARTURE
TICKET IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
NOTE -

REFUND MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME OF THE 1ST OUTBOUND FLIGHT OF THE JOURNEY -OTHERWISE IT WILL BE CONSIDERED NO SHOW AND SUCH PENALTY/RESTRICTION WILL APPLY.

Did you check the no-show penalties in the fare rules?

What route and fare are you looking at?

For example I see the following rules for a Top SCL-ANF fare


CANCELLATIONS
ANY TIME
CANCELLATIONS PERMITTED.
NOTE -
REFUND MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME OF
THE ORIGINAL FLIGHT -OTHERWISE- IT WILL BE
CONSIDERED NO-SHOW AND SUCH PENALTY/RESTRICTION

COMPONENT.
WHEN COMBINING REFUNDABLE FARES WITH NON
REFUNDABLE FARES PROVISIONS WILL APPLY AS FOLLOWS
- THE AMOUNT PAID ON THE REFUNDABLE FARE
COMPONENT WILL BE REFUNDED UPON PAYMENT OF THE
PENALTY AMOUNT IF APPLICABLE.
