Still closed

The main Venetian pool is still closed as of this weekend. There's a pamphlet in the room saying that construction was delayed due to lots of rain this winter.

The Venezia pool is open to everyone, and according to the pamphlet is in the shade all day. A small Venetian pool is open, near Canyon Ranch, with sun from 11:30 to 5 or so. They really cram the chairs into this small area.

No date is given for the re-opening.

Anyone gonna be there that weekend?
Anyone have any bachelor party advice?

All input is welcome!

Seeing that is Memorial weekend?
You will be among the major "masses of people" coming in to probably
do the same thing. As far as bachelor party advices? If you are not
planning on hanging out by I-15/Industrial Blvd zone. There are plenty
of options by simply just hanging out at your residence casino bar or
walking down(south) the strip and visit all the major casinos/bars/clubs
along the way. Not much for specials going on that weekend seeing
it is a 3 day holiday weekend. Good luck...

There's another trick that I haven't tried in about a year as I only stay at the Aladdin now since it's an SPG property. You used to be able to call in and get the "noncancelable rate" which could be as low as $110 a night on a weeknight. If you tried to cancel a room, you lost the whole trip's stay amount (not just the first night like some hotels). So be sure you are really going to Vegas!
Again, this might still work but I haven't tried it in a while.

There's also this deal http://www.venetian.com/accommodatio...&year=2005 which has rooms starting at $185/night, but with a $100/night spa credit, or this deal http://www.venetian.com/accommodatio...&year=2005 which is also $185/night with a 2-night minimum and comes with 2 rounds of golf and club rental.

The spa deal is good on select dates through Sept 11, the golf deal through Aug 25.

Venetian for $100. 100 hours only!

I've just seen a special offer on the Venetian site:
http://www.venetian.com/promo/CentennialOffer/index.cfm

Centennial offer. $100 for 100 hours. I did check the enights of 28 and 29 Jun and they are available for $100. Must book by Friday. Good luck!

Venetian For $100.000

WooHoo. We've been to Vegas many times, and have stayed at the Venetian before but not getting the room for anywhere near $100.00. I couldnt resist this deal, have gotten my room and will spend 4 days lounging around the Venetain July 18-22....Yippee...

goingsomewhere Jun 17, 2005 1:35 pm

Didn't work for me...none of the dates I needed were at a good price.

Oh, well, perhaps, next time.

Great deal - thanks for posting.

Unfortunately, I couldn't pull the trigger as we don't have our Sep. dates locked in yet and these rates are non cancelable/non refundable :td:

Thanks for posting this, my deal conscious spouse (not always a fan of Las Vegas) was willing to go for a few nights in September at this price ...

ramraideruk Jun 17, 2005 3:16 pm

I'm really glad you all managed toget this deal. I couldn't get that rate for the nights I wanted. but I did get it for £80 (about $150) including taxes for July 26th. I have been to Vegas a few times and always wanted to stay there. Now I can. How do I go about getting an upgrade?

I also managed to get the Westin ST Francis in San Francisco for $95 per night on hotwire.

If you're feeling luck, they currently do have 5* hotels for $113 inc tax on hotwire for Vegas

This is an absolute bargain I've never encountered for such a classy hotel/casino. Kudos to the OP for bringing it to our attention. ^
