The Consolidated "Venetian" thread

Does either of these galleries have a permanent collection, or just exhibitions? Any recommendations?

They're still offering the $129/night promo for some of your days -- August 18,19 and 22. Go to the Venetian website and click "Events/Promotions" and you'll see "Suite Specials" and it's listed there. You're probably out of luck finding a deal for Friday and Saturday night.

When staying at the Venetian(or any other hotel/casino) make sure that you get a players club card and put a few points on it. You will be surprised what kind of offers you will get in the mail or once you have a card you can call the club and often get a reduced rate for your stay. The old adage that "it never hurts to ask" is esp true in LV.

Both have fairly long lasting exhibitions and are both are good. No permanent displays.

As of two weeks ago, the Bellagio had an Impressionist exhibit with paintings on loan from MFA Boston and the Guggenheim at the Venetian had an exhibit about the depiction of pleasure/leisure in art through the ages.

I didn't see either, but I did live in Boston for six years and can say their Impressionist collection is great.

How would you use this code? There's no place the Venetian's web site to enter it.

Have you tried calling the hotel reservations department and giving them the code to see if it works for your desired dates?

Venetian pool closed?

Rumor has it that the Venetian pool is closed through May. Is there any truth to this? Does that include the Venezia pool as well?

Thanks,
JK

The majority of the resorts close their pools for the winter. Most open late April or early May.
