poker room rate at the venetian

What is the poker room rate for the venetian from sept 5th-12th? I have contacted the venetian several times by email with no response!!!

According to AllVegasPoker.com:

Poker Room Rate: Yes
Daily Room Rates:
$169 (Sunday -Thursday)
$259 (Friday & Saturday)

Daily Play Requirement:
8 hours
You can probably do better with promotional rates, but if this happens to be cheaper for your dates, you will probably want to call the hotel directly and ask for the poker room to find out how to book.

From what I remember last year (a friend used the poker rate numerous times),

it's actually a much better deal than presented, if you desire a very large suite midweek.

Seems, the rate $169 is good for any suite up to a certain value. I "think" that value is $400.

So, just looking at a random midweek day, say July 22nd :

A regular Venetian Luxury Suite (600+ sq/ft) is $139 (per the website),

But, a Venetian Prima View Suite is $339 (this suite is 1,500+ square feet, full bar, jetted tub, powder room, semi formal dining room etc. etc.)

So, if this is the case, you are getting a $339 room for $169, which is quite a savings.

Since these details are from last year, you'll have to confirm if the "deal" is still applicable, and what the $$ threshold is for the room category.

baccarat_king, do you know if the prima view suite would be valued at $169 (ie. basic room) in terms of its "comp" value?

Not really sure what you are asking, but

AFAIK, it wouldn't,

Standard comp marketing offer rooms (suites) @ Venetian (booked through marketing, not a host) would be non-view
Venetian Luxury or
Venetian Bella suites

Unless, of course, the marketing offer specifies something else (i.e. concierge level, Rialto, Piazza, Prima etc.).

edit to add : from memory, the "value" of a comp marketing offer stay you need to work off (before you can get additional F&B, SPA etc.) is around $600 for a standard 4 night suite stay @ Venetian/Palazzo. (I might be off by a "bit", but I can't seem to find my notes with regard to the "exact" amount at this moment)

Boarding Pass Kiosk @ Venetian

There is a Speed Check boarding pass kiosk, same kiosk as those at McCarran Airport, at the Venetian conference halls, lower level, across from the Galileo exhibit hall #1001.

Airlines available for check in include FL, AS, AA, CO, DL, F9, QX, B6, NW, WN, UA, and US.

Checked into the Venetian today for a 3 night stay. Did "gratuity" trick and got upgraded to a Bella View suite from a Luxury suite on a convention rate. Check-in agent also waived the 3rd person fee.

Had dinner at Cut, more on that on the dining thread (to be forthcoming) and am, so far, truly enjoying this hotel. As of this moment, I am inclined to return here in future visits to Vegas.

Just apprised by my host that there is a $15 daily resort fee for Venetian/Palazzo that was effective as of 10/1/09. The fee is waived for comped guests. Fee includes use of canyon ranch gym, 800 phone calls and free internet ^.

I booked a comped room in February through Club Grazie, when I check in do I just check in at the normal line or is there somewhere else I am supposed to go? Also, who do I talk to about getting into Tao or other nightclubs without waiting in line?

You can check in at Invited Guests, though sometimes it is faster with the regular checkin line.

As for nightclubs, check with your host. If you don't have one, have Casino Marketing assign one to you.

Thank you MWDelta and Kingalien for your help! Also, is it worth trying the sandwich tip trick to get a better room on a comped reservation? I want to show the special lady a nice time.

The "upgrade" will probably count against your other comps.

As opus17 states, the upgrade, if pre-confirmed by your host, will count towards your other comps, since you'll have to 'work-off' a higher amount. IIRC, for a current 4 day COMP stay in a regular suite @ V/P you now need to 'work-off' $715 to cover your room before other F&B comps (not including things that come with an offer, such as a $100 F&B credit on your folio).

With regard to the $20 trick, you will easily be able to get a 'view-room' on a high floor. Agents have authorization to do that. Regarding upgrading to a larger suite (from a COMP ressie), this is now a big revenue source for V/P and they aggressively try to sell you an upgrade (for example $100 to $200 per day to upgrade to a very large Sienna @ Palazzo). IMHO, the only time you will get a free upgrade is if you are checking in very late and they are in an oversell situation (i.e. to no bella or luxury suites available) --- sort of like an OP-UP. Of course, it's always YMMV. But, the above has been my personal experience over the past six months.... Though, I'll be back @ Palazzo for MLK weekend... so, I'll report if anything has changed.
