B6 Same Day Switch Benefit
Hoping someone can answer before this gets merged into the combined thread nobody reads.
Flying B6 tomorrow - hoping to do a same day switch. Seems to be complimentary for exec plat. But I assume unlike Mosaik - is not available 24h before scheduled departure. If it is - or maybe when it is - where would I find that on the web site or the mobile app?

According to https://www.aa.com/i18n/plan-travel/...day-travel.jsp
If you bought a ticket with a partner airline for a flight operated by American, you can stand by or buy a same-day confirmed change. Use your American Airlines confirmation number to view your trip.
Starting 24 hours before departure, go to your trips online or in the app, or stop by an airport ticket counter to request a change and pay the fee, if applicable.*

I guess I have been a little unclear. Was trying to understand if AA elites (exec plat) get the 24h advance benefit and if so how it is done

I haven't called - and may try chat to verify - but based on my experience it is free, but starts midnight for AA elites. Ended up trying standby which was a post by itself

Many B6 phone agents are highly incompetent and aren't aware of this benefit. Apparently, only the "interline" department has agents who actually know how the process is supposed to work. For me, the most painful part has always been dealing with the regular phone agents but once I get transferred to the correct department, the agents there process the same day flight change very quickly.

For example: it is 6 p.m. now and your flight is scheduled to depart at 5:55 p.m. tomorrow; in this case you can request a complimentary change to a flight that departs earlier than 5:55 p.m. but if instead you want to change to a flight that departs at 9:00 p.m. tomorrow, then you will need to wait 3 more hours (again, assuming it is 6 p.m. now).
Only way I'm aware of is to call B6's Reservations and then you will be transferred to the "Interline" department.
