Flight changes / cancellations in the app not working?
Hello all
I had a JetBlue flight booked last week with points and I needed to cancel the booking. I went to manage the booking in the app and was able to cancel the booking in the app and it showed as cancelled in manage booking afterwards but with the flight still showing on the my trips main screen. I continued to receive pre-departure emails for the flight and several times copied and pasted the booking reference into the app again and the flight appeared but under manage booking, it stated it was cancelled.
The points have not been returned and I called last night and was advised that the flight had not been cancelled and that I was a no show. I am curious if anyone has had similar experiences? They refused to refund the points so am not overly happy with B6!

If the booking was successfully canceled then you would have received a cancellation email. If you have that, it's an open and shut case. If you did not receive a cancellation email then you are probably going to have a tough time convincing JetBlue otherwise.
I will say that I've made (and canceled) hundreds of JetBlue reservations over the years and never had the issue you mentioned. Not sure what glitched when you tried to cancel but it seems like an outlier.

Also be sure that you were logged in under the original TrueBlue account you booked with. For example, if you and your spouse are traveling and you booked both tickets under your spouse's account originally, you have to be logged in under your spouse's account in order to cancel. If you login as yourself, the cancel button will be grayed out.

Definitely the right account, havent been able to modify points bookings from the app or a PC, and booking was made in the app or PC. Have to get someone at JetBlue to do it, just an extra step, not the end of the world.
It can sometimes be finicky. Sometimes the button to cancel will show and other times it may not. Often logging in again and/or using the mobile app vs. the website can help.

I have to agree with that, points booking change when they moved the flight over 16 hours had to be done on the phone and another one that I had to cancel within 24 hours had to also be done on the phone (pre covid rules). Rep said points booking changes all had to be done on the phone when I asked on the 2nd call.
