Wow! I didn't see it coming. So B6 will startup service DCA-BOS/FLL/MCO and why does not have any slots restrictions service to JFK due to overcrowded who has already existing service WAS-NYC. So I cannot supports for this one due to extra slots restrictions into DCA. Maybe someday in the future if JFK will have reductions the congestions.

Here the official news releases from B6 came in this morning and here the links:

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/JetBlu....html?x=0&.v=1

I'm pretty sure the routes will be very successful out of DCA-BOS/MCO/FLL and no service to JFK for this time.

I don't think there are the profit margins on that route in the near future. Connecting traffic via Florida to LatAm and shuttle service to BOS are way more valuable.

B6 wouldn't make any $ DCA-JFK, so the BOS route makes sense.

i like it. i can go DCA-california now, instead of treking out to IAD. smart move imo

You'd fly DCA-BOS-LGB/LAX/SFO rather than the IAD non-stops?? Ouch. Unless there is a compelling fare difference, why?

if it's OAK or LGB, i'd do IAD. if it's SAN, SFO, or LAX, i'd do DCA.

i live right at braddock road metro station, so DCA is much more ideal.

No, it's won't like that. Only where you are flying DL, B6, US or AA out BOS-DCA. There is lots of those airlines has already existing service from NYC-WAS are too extremely overcrowded.

According to the Intranet, all flights will start off on the 190. However if we see loads on the BOS-DCA route like we are seeing on the BOS-BWI route I suspect a 320 might slip in for a flight or 2.

This may be a totally random question, but why is the first flight of the day from BOS-DCA flight 1600? It seems a little random considering all the other flight numbers are 6XX. The fares to Florida are nice, I remember when I could snag a flight for $59 from JFK/EWR to PBI/TPA/FLL/MCO... I miss those days!

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is the address of the White House. The people who assign fligh numbers do have a sense of humor (like flight 711 to LAS) or on other airlines (1776 to Philadelphia )

So if the loads are so good on the Bos-Bwi flights why are they all E190s and not A320s. Please stop sucking on the blue juice.

Likewise, the first DCA-BOS departure is flight 1790. Bonus points for deciphering that one!

probably because the profit margin is potentially much higher on bos-dca given what Usair charges on weekday shuttle flights. Way too much competition on bos-bwi from airtran and southwest.
