HND airside overnight options
Hi! I have an overnight layover at HND due to flight timings JAL DFW-BKK in Biz... as I understand I must remain airside during the overnight layover due to japan entry restrictions, wished to kindly ask what kind of options remain at HND for sleeping during the overnight layover... as I was in J, was the Sakura lounge open throughout the night and did it have sleeping or resting rooms? furthermore were there any capsule hotels or any other sleeping arrangements available airside? where can I find out more info?

Based on reports, the downstairs area by the bus gates is the most quiet during the night. The lounge most nights closes around 1am and opens again around 6am, so the lounge free time is not super long.
When is you flight? As traffic starts to build, and Japan is expected to start allowing tour groups in from June and increase the arrival cap to 20K a day, maybe the airside Hotel will make a reappearance before too long.

Hello, I am in the same boat as the previous posts. I have a flight to HND landing in the international terminal 3 in late June. I am looking to book the same day flight out of HND terminal 3 to Seoul on JAL( I am currently on ANA/United from Chicago to HND). Is this doable?

JAL has yet to announce the Seoul schedule for June. With the supposedly easing of borders they may actually start flying to Seoul again. But currently neither JAL nor ANA flies to Seoul.

There are currently no flights from Haneda to Seoul. You need to fly via Narita for that.

Thanks, I should have mentioned that. A potential positive is that June HND-GMP JAL flights haven't been canceled yet as far as I know, whereas the May ones were canceled more than a month out. SK's gov't does still list May as being when international travel to GMP is supposed to start (phase 1): Phased resumption of international flights - Seoul Metropolitan Government
Here's for hoping.
Here's for hoping.
Considering how much traffic there used to be, it is rather odd it has not caused bigger protests yet from businesses on both sides.

Does anyone know if it's possible to make a same day layover in KIX with 2 separate tickets? I'm looking at LAX - KIX (JL) + KIX - SIN - BKK (SQ). I've read a lot of people talking about transiting in NRT with 2 separate tickets but don't think I've found any data points on KIX :/
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Not sure how I missed this, but if it's correct, it's good news for transiting HND to GMP on oneworld and the first confirmation I've seen aside from the gov't website: Gimpo Airport to resume international flights in June (koreaherald.com)
Gimpo International Airport in Seoul is resuming the long-stalled operation of international flights from June, starting with popular routes between South Korea and Japan.
According to the Transport Ministry on Thursday, several South Korean and Japanese air carriers such as Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways have filed applications to resume international flights at the airport.
Gimpo Airport in western Seoul, one of the nation’s main gateways along with Incheon International Airport, is favored among travelers here when it comes to short-haul flights to neighboring countries such as Japan, China and Taiwan.

Im back, wondering if anyone knows what happens if a connecting flight gets canceled at NRT.
Were flying YVR-NRT-SIN, AC then NH, all on one ticket. Looks like 801 (NRT-SIN) was canceled yesterday - it doesnt show a reason, and Im not sure how far in advance. But assuming one is already enroute to NRT, what happens?
i assume they will try to rebook as many connections as possible onto SQ flight, or maybe on connections via NH/TG via BKK, or maybe other reasonable connection options, but also suspect without flexibility to do it beyond same evening (or using HND flights either), it might be hard capacity-wise for an entire canceled flight. Sure Im worried over nothing, but trying to plan in case some creativity is necessary.

I've got a GMP-HND-LAX flight lined up in July so hopefully this will be confirmed soon!
