A 2-week pass should help you follow the wave from Kumamoto up to Sendai, with Kansai area in the middle for the Himeji and Hikone castles. Sakura season further north can extend a few more weeks. Then again, I can't think of a prettier reason to justify a full month there.

as you like, you're in japan and this would still be in force. JAL - Hot Cabin

and unlike the plane noone will turn down the temperature for you.

it now takes 12 hours to go from kagoshima to hakodate. assuming trains would be 1 hour faster then add 3 hours to sapporo. PLUS waiting time at tokyo station and perhaps at hakodate too (I'd assume the through train to sapporo would leave earlier)

i would agree that to be epic.
why not, its included in the pass.

I think it's a skosh over 4 hours. I also note that you're using three question marks for one question. You need to dial back the hyperbole.

Does that happen often on Shinkansen? In the dozen long rides I've taken, I always found them to be airy and comfortable even when full, unlike with some Ltd Express trains.

must have made a big difference from adding 6 hours to the other 5 from tokyo.
and that is if your train ride wasnt delayed. mine was delayed half an hour in december.
well noted i used 3 question marks by the way, you're very good in english.
