Ouch! ~ USD $90 for a one-way bus? And ~ USD $262 for the other one-way bus? My JR pass cost me around USD $252 and provides free use of NEX. I'll be staying, initially anyway, in Shinigawa. So the real tip / savings here is time then? Believe it's at least 60 mins from NRT to Shinigawa Station on the Nartia Express train. Just checking on the digits there.
WHOOPS SORRY, corrected to about usd $10 and $29 -had an extra zero
I actually used the service to transfer bag from one hotel to another so never saw the actual transport - delivered bag to concierge - they filled out the paperwork, charge added to my bill and bag was waiting at my next hotel

What shuttle bus are you referring to? Train/monorail is tedious, but it's still the most practical option for most scenarios in/out of HND.
Vast majority of people take Keikyu train, monorail, Limo Bus or taxi. If you're traveling back to Tokyo on the day of your flight departure, then take Keikyu from Shinagawa. If you're staying at a hotel serviced by Limo Bus and esp if you have luggage, then take the Limo Bus. If you're staying in Tokyo at a hotel not served by Limo Bus (or Limo Bus times not convenient), then train/taxi to either Keikyu or monorail then ride either into HND.

Sorry I meant shuttle bus as in Limo bus, apology for misuse of the words..
I particularly find Limo is so good accessing Shinjuku area.
