HND Overnight turnround options
So in a fit of nostalgia I am burning some Asiamiles for a last trip (HKG-HND-HKG) in the nose of a CX 747 in late September. I spent many, many hours there back in the day when I was taking 100+ CX flights a year.
But unfortunately a same-day turnround isn't possible. I will arrive at HND at 21:35 and depart at 10:35.
The question is how to split my time at HND between the CX & JL F lounges (I assume JL honours the access by class of service rule for CX F pax) and the Royal Park airside transit hotel. I have no need to go landside unless anyone can give me a good reason to do so.
I see that the CX lounge is open with limited service from 22:00 until their redeye departs around 1am, and then again from 07:30. I can't immediately find the opening hours of the JL F lounge, and the English information on their website is limited.
I guess I'm going to want to get about 6 hours sleep, which, assuming the JL lounge has nowhere to do that, means that I need a room at the transit hotel (JPY11000 for 6 hours, JPY13000 for up to 12). Other than that, how would you recommend splitting my time between the JL and CX lounges, and what are their attractions?

JAL Sakura Lounge at HND International Terminal is open from 4:30 a.m. till 1:30 a.m. Few food court fast food type restaurants in departure gate/transit area of HND are open 24 hrs. If you want sit down full service restaurant then have to get out on landside of the HND International Terminal. Last I checked there are two or three restaurants at the landside of HND International Terminal are open 24 hrs. Are there another reason to go through customs and come out on the landside of the terminal? Could be to get some fresh air?
Cathay Pacific Lounge at HND is open from 22:00 1:30 because of 1:45 departure of DragonAir, isnt it? Hence limited service, isnt it? Cathay Pacific lounge at HND opens at 7:30 a.m.
Food service at JAL Sakura Lounge ends at 12 midnight. However, JAL Sakura Lounge Skyview (another lounge at HND International Terminal) closer to gates CX uses has food service till 1:30 a.m.
I have also few 747-400 on CX HND-HKG a year or so ago. I am wondering with fewer 747s flying these days is it possible that CX 747-400 flight could have been my last 747 flight? With such turnaround at HND, are you going to have same cabin crew as HKG-HND and HND-HKG?

Thanks for the above two replies.
CX has announced that their last commercial 747 flights will be CX542 HKG-HND on 30/9/2016 and CX543 on 1/10/2016. And, yes, I guess I will have the same crew both ways.
I'm not anticipating needing to eat much on arrival since I will have been at the F lounge in HKG and have eaten on board, but maybe a nightcap would be good!
In the morning I'll want some breakfast in one of the lounges, perhaps with a glass of champagne!
I guess what I'm still not sure on is:
- the opening hours and facilities of the JAL F lounge (which is separate from the Sakura lounge as I understand it); if it were open 24 hours and had somewhere to nap for a few hours and a shower then I could skip the transit hotel
- the relative merits of the CX lounge and the JAL F lounge, particularly with regard to ambience, breakfast offering and drinks offering.
Thanks in advance for any further advice.

Thanks again. On reflection I think I shall head straight for the transit hotel on arrival then to a lounge in the morning for breakfast.
Can anyone confirm from experience that the JAL F Lounge allows access to (no status) people travelling on CX in F (as they should under oneworld rules)?
And can anyone who has tried both offer any comments on the JAL F lounge vs the CX Lounge re ambience, breakfast offering, and drinks served (particularly champagne, juices and coffee!)?

Having done the trip now I'll answer my own questions for the benefit of anyone else thinking of doing similar...
I arrived at 21:45, checked in to the Transit Hotel (which was perfect for what I needed - very comfortable bed (you need to like them firm!) and a decent bathroom with a bath.
Then I went out for a nightcap or two, and I can confirm that the JAL F Lounge was happy to grant me access at 22:00 or so on the basis of my CX F boarding pass for 10:35 the next morning, with an apology at the desk for the fact that they would close at 1:30am. I didn't stay that late, but I did take a few drinks and tried the teppanyaki beef plate which they had a chef making to order until 11pm (perhaps 11:30pm). There were two champagnes available - one (Laurent-Perrier IIRC) in the strange room at the end which had a shoeshine at work and a fussbal table!- and the other (a less well-known name, sorry I forget which) in the main food / bar areas. The ambience is OK, if a little brightly lit for my taste at 11pm; it was probably 10-15% occupied at 10:30pm, diminishing from there.
In the morning I went to the CX lounge, where they had a choice of Japanese or Chinese set breakfasts, plus a small selection of cold cuts, fruit, etc. I went with the Japanese set, which was solid (for what is essentially a J lounge). Juice and coffee obviously are readily available, as was a full bar, but I decided that I wouldn't get back on the booze until I was on board! I like the ambience of the CX Lounge - it's the same as all the most recent renovations (e.g. Pier F), and it has a great view over the airfield. That being so I didn't bother to go and check out what the JAL F lounge was like in the morning, but I guess it would be more crowded.

Thanks for an update and glad all worked out. I have been to CX lounge at NRT but never been to CX lounge at HND. However, what I heard is that CX has done pretty nice job at HND lounge. Some I heard that HND CX lounge and NRT CX lounge are difference of night and day. Next time I depart international at HND I will check out CX lounge.
