Care to reveal where BC was discounted? Have not seen them below list in Tokyo. Don't worry - I am in lockdown at home, so very unlikely to go out and buy, but very surprised that they were offered at a discount to the Y10,000 list...

The airport limited editions have been priced at double the regular bottling MSRP for a few years now. First reported in this thread around 4-5 years ago. See: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/24789395-post60.html
Used to be these LE prices were ridiculous, but after years of increasing secondary market price on the regular bottlings, airport LEs are now cheaper.

Taketsuru 17 and Yamazaki 12
Yesterday I found two bottles of Taketsuru 17 and Yamazaki 12 on the shelf in Osaka for MSRP, the store owner let me take all 4- the best haul I’ve had in one go! Shop owner said they arrived Tuesday and because of the Corona virus, Nikka gave them the two bottles rather than the usual one because of the lack of tourists/need for them at duty free. Be on the look out today!
