Bingo. I've got a match.
Alaska is not a trick clue. The river appears to be Turnagain Arm, part of the Cook Inlet in Alaska.
Here is a matching photo (look at the rocks on the right of the river)

Trying to work out what the actual answer is though is not so straight forward. The Cook inlet is 180 miles long according to Wikipedia.

The photo is definitely a match, but if you recall week 1, some parts of the photo were not strictly in the NP. However I think we are definitely in the right area. Great find!

Will it just be the river they want or will it be more?
Then maybe just Denali National Park (or something else)
Denali National Park is around 100 mile long,so i guess the rivers and lakes would maybe that long

The foreground certainly looks Alaska. The distant background not so much.
As noted earlier, "alaska" entered into some code may be a diversion.

- for the most part, the Matanuska is a raging river with rapids, not the slow flow we see in the picture
- the Matanuska flows into Knik Arm, not the Turnagain Arm as stated in the photo legend
I can't think of anything that flows for almost 100 miles into the Turnagain Arm. Still looking...

Matanuska. Don't know it at all, but Google cannot find a picture of it without big snowy mountains in the background.

Another possibility could be the Kenai River (87 miles long) which flows through the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and into the Cook inlet

While you undoubtedly have the right image for the river I fear that the image may be mislabelled, Turnagain Arm is a sea inlet near Anchorage whilst the image is clearly river not sea.
There are many parks in the vicinity with Denali being the most famous but there is also Lake Clark NP and closest to Turnagain is Chuagach State Park/National Forest.
It would be useful if someone could identify the bluff that runs across the middle of the puzzle - it doesn't come from the river picture. I expect me may see Denali appearing over it a subsequent clue.
