I have to say that PC is so ahead of the other hotel programs. I have joined PC a few months ago and through their promotions I became aware of their hotel chains and learned to appreciate the brand.
For Aruba they gave away about 5 million points. Nice.

Think it's in Thingvellir National Park, Iceland. What does me guessing?
Google "River Öxará" which is in there. The 4th google result on page one should be the same.
There are 4 active vulcanos and the water of the river Öxará steams.
+ The continental drift between the North American and Eurasian Plates can be clearly seen in the cracks or faults which traverse the region, the biggest one, Almannagjá, being a veritable canyon. This also causes the often-measurable earthquakes in the area.
And now slide the "Clue 1" button left and right. Could be the drift

No doubt there will be a clue about species of fish in the river on day 2 or 3.
Hopefully can find a photo by then!
I think it will need to be a river that is at least some kind of tourist desitination. So it can't be too obscure.
Chena river seems to have a lot of other activities around it, but the photos don't really seem to match.

The river scene is a diversion. I'm thinking lava flow.
At this point, I'm unable to match up the scenery with underground lava flow.

Bingo. I've got a match.
Alaska is not a trick clue. The river appears to be Turnagain Arm, part of the Cook Inlet in Alaska.
Here is a matching photo (look at the rocks on the right of the river)

Trying to work out what the actual answer is though is not so straight forward. The Cook inlet is 180 miles long according to Wikipedia.
