I have no idea whether it may suit your plans / needs but I spent several nights at HI Mumbai International Airport earlier this year (on a PB, as it happens), and it really is a very nice property. Of course it is north of the city rather than the downtown area, but it is a newer property, more in line with CP standards than HI, and is relatively convenient to the airport.

I was upgraded to a very spacious and comfortable room and treated very well as a mere PC Plat on PB. Given that you can arrange for an all day car through the hotel for a modest rate ("coolcabs" are cheapest and quite adequate ~ about 1700 Rs for the day as I recall) the location is not a big obstacle. Traffic will be an issue in most locations in Mumbai so just go with the flow.

It is generally available for 15k per night / or 5k + $60, so it might be an alternative to the PB you were seeking.

Apologies to others for OT posting...

That's the one I booked, I figured we can get to the tourist area on the metro from Andheri station. Nice to know they upgrade PLTs on reward stays! I saw it a few months ago, tried to squeek through a PB for Sept but for once the PC website worked properly and wouldn't let me. Did they pick you up at the airport for free?

I was really hoping the new Cochin HI would be on the list, they only opened this month so they should want to attract people to it. And the CP Soaltee in KTM recently closed its casino, people are complaining on TA but I don't care because I don't gamble.

The CGK IC is fairly nice. I had about 30 nights here last year. They can be a little weird on reward nights. Sometimes they say no minibar, sometimes they don't.

I wouldn't valet park here, though, as the $35,000 USD rate is a bit steep. (Obviously it's supposed to be 35,000 IDR, which is $4 a day or so)

They have premier room available which are a bit larger than the standard one.

IIRC they provided a one way transfer FOC, but the other transfer was reasonably priced ~ maybe Rs 700 (about AUD $15) or so.

I did not try the local train as I had a few specific locations to visit during my one free day that were easier by car, and it was pretty hot & humid at the time. Depending on where you want to go, 'cool cabs' (a/c local taxi) can be a convenient and reasonably priced, if less adventurous, alternative.

They are currently constructing an extension to the metro which will run right past the hotel. In time that will be an improvement, but until then it is (yet another) traffic obstacle...

And comes with free internet as well according to the room description. Well I'm hoping they honour that part as I've booked 3 nights on PB this morning in a Premier Room for that reason.

The TripAdvisor reviews on the Holiday Inn Midtown Montreal are very mixed. Has anyone stayed there recently?

I believe you are going to Chongqing rather than Sichuan. Chongqing is a municipal city.

I will be travelling to Hefei so thought of heading over for a weekend break and check that place out.

Booked 3 nights at Vienna South for early Sept for 15K total. ^

Was thinking of doing the cash & points ($60+5K) but instead booked (Friends & Family refundable rate) Park Inn. Will cancel that.

For 15K pts (and no cash ), a nice deal. ^

Don't have high expectations and it should be okay. It definitely feels dated, but it's an okay property. Good location, but don't think you will impress anyone by taking them there.

If you are traveling on a budget, the 44 bus is an express to downtown, and the 38 providing late night coverage, albeit more of a local bus. Free parking and wifi too, as well as several quick-casual restaurants within a 3 minute walk (Potbelly, California Pizza Kitchen, etc.)
Good to know, had seen reviews on the web that were less than stellar... Made holiday weekend plans
