I checked out, and no charge for internet access as one of the Ambassador benefit at this hotel as shown in the website. Once the bill settled, I mentioned about the missing fruits. She said sorry, but seemed not genuine.
Yes, will be back here next month. See what will happen with the fruits!
Note: I could not understand though, why all my keys were not working after leaving the room to go out having fun. The front desk always told me about being demagnitized. But even when I put inside my jacket pocket with no wallet or coins around, and it still happened.

I had to go through 4 room keys before getting one that would keep working at this hotel.
Had security escort me up twice as I think they thought I was up to something!

I stayed here on 12/4 at a corporate rate of $159/night. I received an upgrade to a club king as an Ambassador Gold. The room was nice on par to the W down the road where I normally stay. The sink had horrible water pressure, yet the shower was fine. I received only one bottle of water in my amenity for a listed party of two. No mention of lounge access. Worse is the welcome note in the room was the wrong name. I called the front desk to inform them and it seemed like it happens often

Checked in 8th Jan - Suite 3103
Checked in here last night.
Lady @ Check-In kept saying "you will really like your room".
Certainly do, massive Suite right at the end of the 31st florr with living room downstairs, bedroom upstairs, piano and all sorts. ^
Apparently we are not to have any parties in it though.

Not quite the Presidential Suite, but we were upgraded to the Bay Suite on the 32nd Floor.
Again the receptionist commented on what a great upgrade we had been given, didn't quite appreciate what she was saying until we got to the room.

Location, location, location
Despite carefully reading this entire thread, I'm still confused about the desirability of the IC SFO location. Initially, I wondered if I could come in from the airport on BART at midnight and walk the 5-10 minutes from Powell without risking my life. The Google street view looked discouraging, though that's not always a great indicator. But even if I spring for a cab from SFO instead of going green, is this a great place to base myself for a leisure trip? I like to walk everywhere.
By way of comparison, I'm a New Yorker and would be completely happy with either IC location in Manhattan. I'm also a big fan of the IC BOS and have no qualms about walking from, say, South Station to that hotel at midnight (running with the BOS analogy, the street view of the walk from Powell to the IC looked sort of like Downtown Crossing, which I try to avoid). Walking back to the FS PHL at night, just to present the spectrum, has been a little scary for me.
I'm no longer RA -- just a Plat. AMB -- and plan on paying the lowest rate with my BOGO. With this in mind, the IC seems like a better bet than the MH, unless the MH location is substantially better. I was almost ready to spring for the "bridge-to-bridge" room at the MO, but many FTers don't seem to like that location either.

IC SFO neighborhood
The area around the IC SFO is a little dicey , however I walked it after midnight without trouble ... but expect the occasional panhandler. You should be able to walk from the Powell street BARTA station in 10 minutes without a lot of luggage. That being said , it is certainly not the most exciting/interesting of SF neighborhoods.

Thanks. If I get Paul's room, then I'll put up with fighting off a few bums on my way in. I had to roll over to about 6th & Turk to find some seriously shady business captured in the Google street view, so it looks like I just have to avoid wrong turns on the way out of the BART station.
