I think they charge 49 euros per day in HIGH SEASON during the warmer months, then drop it to 39 euros per day in low season, during the colder months.

What was good and what was bad?
Good
- Very pleasant property
- After the Covid period, the hotel was short of staff, which could be felt in the quality of service. These problems have now been solved, and the service is back to its best levels (especially at breakfast where, despite a large number of guests, the service was fast and particularly efficient: well done!)
- Pleasant room with great terrace with a view,
- Smiling and attentive service,
- Perfect location, close to Vieux Port, Mucem museum, in the heart of Panier historical district (with superb Vieille Charité), 15 minutes walk to rue Grignan with elegant boutiques.
- Very nice historical building
- Pleasant indoor pool and spa
- Superb view from the terrace
- Fast wifi
- Very good breakfast. Nice selection of teas.
Bad
- Nothing
Value for $ or IHG One Rewards Points? Would you return?
Yes, for the sun in February, the quality of accommodations and service.
PS: For those interested in soccer (which is not my case), we had breakfast next to Vitor Oliveira, known as Vitinha, a Portuguese striker from Braga, who is joining Olympique de Marseille and obviously living at the hotel at the moment.

I don't think I'll have a reason to be in Marseille any time in the next few years, but the hotel itself (building, rooms etc. ) and it's location is really nice and what I wish more ICs would be like.

- The hotel was invaded by demonstrators on 1st May.
The police quickly intervened, but the hotel lobby was ransacked (paint on the walls and sofas, vases broken, shop windows vandalised with theft, tags on the walls, etc.).
By the evening, the teams had (almost) succeeded in removing all traces of the violence.

Quite remarkable !
Gone are the days one could make an easy statement by burning a bra ....
1st of May is getting pretty more tense by the year ...
Hope the guests and staff made it through and are ok .

Yes, very much, as usual.

Booked cheapest rate and received a 1 King Premium La Bonne Mère View Terrace.
How are the rooms?
Around 41sqm large.
Very nice room indeed.

What was good and what was bad?
GOOD
- In addition to a Deutz Rosé Champagne bottle, I received free entrance at The Cercle des Nageurs de Marseille, a very select swimming club founded in 1921.
The club has a 25m indoor pool, a 25m outdoor pool and a 50m indoor pool (all with seawater), as well as of course access to the sea, plus services (cabins, bar, etc). It was just great to spend a sunny afternoon in a quiet and select environment.
- To make the most of my afternoon at the Club des Nageurs and to be able to shower before my evening departure for Paris, I was offered a courtesy room. Really nice attention.
- Smiling and attentive service
- Superb room with great terrace with a view,
- Perfect location, close to Vieux Port, Mucem museum, in the heart of Panier historical district (with superb Vieille Charité), 15 minutes walk to rue Grignan with elegant boutiques.
- Very nice historical building
- Pleasant indoor pool and spa

- Very good breakfast. Nice selection of teas
BAD
- The restaurant's new head waiter is clearly not up to the job (staff running all over the place with no focus or coordination, long waiting times, no glasses or plates for long minutes, our table cleared when we obviously hadn't finished, while the one next to it, obviously vacated a long time ago, remains uncleaned, etc.).
Management is aware of the problem and is working on a solution.
