OCI card holders that have FTI-TTP, do they also need to fill out the new e-arrival cards that started this month?
|
Nope. I entered with filled out arrival card in hand on Oct 5 and nobody wanted it.

Have OCI card holders had success using their FTI-TTP on entry or exit from India? The e-gates at BLR have never accepted either my foreign passport or OCI card and recognized my valid FTI-TTP. I inevitably have to ask for help and have a person handle my entry/exit.

I gave my biometrics in BLR in March and used the gate for the first time on Monday in DEL. Easy peasy lemon squeezee.

On another note, my family member completed his biometrics on Friday, but still hasn't received approval/rejection. When I gave my biometrics back in August, I got my approval within hours. |

Sunday morning leaving DEL all worked well only my fingerprint was not read at the first attempt. Immediately a guy appeared trying to help me with the print: use any finger sir, try a bit more foward, etc. That confused me so the second try also failed. The third time I put the right finger at the right spot and the check was done.

Yes, I did this. Had to submit fingerprints again to link them to the new passport number but it was approved in a few hours.
|
Re this ^ I wrote to the FTP people and they got back saying I need to submit a fresh application - which I've done. And submit biometrics again.

So on your way out of India, you got your biometrics recorded again, without filling in a fresh FTI TTP application online with your new passport number etc?
There now seems to be a tab on the portal to "update" your registration so maybe that works? |
From the FAQ on the "Update Passport Info" tab
If the passport on which you have been enrolled in FTI-TTP is expired/lost/stolen/damaged, you will have to apply afresh and complete the necessary formalities again and complete biometric enrolment. |
Anyone facing issues logging in? When I put it the password on the website and move to the captcha, the password gets replaced by some jumbled word and fails the login.
