Air Suvidha form editing?

I will be entering 00 for seat number as I will not preselect my seat and I will only find out at the time of check in. When editing my Self declaration form to enter my actual seat number will I have to start all over again from the beginning or will it remember all the details and pdf files I previously uploaded and submitted?

You get the Air Suvidha approval email within a few minutes of submission so you can even fill out the form when you get your seat numbers.

Also, there would be no need to change your seat number in the event you fill in the form earlier. I have changed seat numbers a few times after the form has been submitted & have never faced a problem.

Uploading the visa copy is not required.

Just a copy of your passport's bio page. Nothing else is needed for that question.

The uploading of a visa copy is not necessary and air suvidha request will be approved instant in seconds.

How did you edit the form after it was submitted? Does the email provide you a link to your form?

Also, don't you have to print out the Air suvidha form? If so, does it need to have the seat number? My concern is that if I get the seat number assigned at the airport, I won't have a mechanism to print the form. Can I just write my seat number on the printed form?

I've just returned from a week long trip to India and entered from Delhi. No one in Delhi cared to even glance at the Air Suvidha form. Only the airline wanted to know if the form was filled up and in my case I showed them only a digital copy of it during check-in.

I never edited the form. You don't have the ability to do that.

You don't have to print out the form. Just show it to them on your phone. You can wait till the last minute to fill out your form as you get the approval right away. So if you want to submit the form with your seat number then just ask the check-in agent to provide that to you & then submit the form. You will have the approval email in 2 minutes post the submission.

Also, no one really cares about the seat number. There have been numerous occasions where I have traveled on a different seat than the one mentioned on my Air Suvidha form.

Thanks. If I am not wrong, the Air suvidha form is only for international passengers entering India. Sorry, should have clarified that I'm traveling from US to India.

When you say, show on your phone - is that via their app? I have not tried the app yet as I was told that it requires a phone number in India for OTP, which I do not have. That means, I will have to use the web version.
I was reading many experiences on Twitter from passengers who had problems with gate agents. Have been instances where passengers were denied boarding as well. So just want to be ready with everything that one would ask. :-)

Yes. The Air Suvidha form is only for people entering India. Only checked by the airlines for compliance and none thereafter. Put in a random seat number and you will be fine. What others are indicating is not bother printing it as it is an utter waste of paper. Just download the PDF onto your phone or your tablet or your laptop and show it when asked by the airline staff. They just glance at the V at the top right corner and your name on the form.

Have a good trip.

Thanks. I did fill the self declaration form as it is required by Lufthansa (Document Check). I confirmed that I can edit the form as well. So after my check-in, I will update the form with my seat numbers.
Good suggestion on showing the copy on the phone. Will do so.

Unfortunately, if you are traveling with multiple family members, you have to repeat the information for each one. Too much duplication. Did not quite understand the need for filling the same information for each passenger.

After you check in, no one is going to look at the Air Suvidha form. So you are wasting your time in editing it past check in.
The intention of the form is good but the execution is hapless. Filling it out again for each passenger is highly inefficient. But that is what bureaucracy does...

No need for the app. You get a response on your email 2 minutes after you submit the form. This email response will have a copy of your form. Just show them that form on your phone. No need to do anything else.
