Just had a taste of the classic Jet service which I'd not had for a while, not having attempted a partner redemption with them for over three years. Placed a request with a list of preferred flights, asking for availability in business class. With shocking promptness, they got back just inside 24 hours, with details of availability on all my options - but in economy. When I pointed out that it was business I wanted, they got back with the correct info in another 24 hours. I replied within the hour, asking them to proceed with one. It is now over 48 hours since then and no response, despite two reminders from me. And of course, the almighty partner redemptions team cannot be reached on the phone by us mortals.
I hope they place a hold on the requested seat for 72 hours? Does anyone know? Otherwise, it's in line with my experience of Jet's standards for them to wait till the seats are gone to then get back to me saying so.

Here's where I'm at with my partner redemption attempt. Four full days after I first asked them to ticket the itinerary, after having sent five email reminders and called three times on the phone (of which, the last two times I was assured the issue was being flagged on priority and someone from the partner award team would call me to finalise the booking), still no calls.
But the esteemed partner award team has sent me an email saying they will call me in the next 48 hours to finish ticketing the award. Or I can call the service centre and have it done on the IVR.
Understandably short of confidence about them ever calling, I called the service centre and asked to be put on the IVR to complete the booking. Whereupon I was told that my passport info was not logged in the PNR.
This despite me having sent scans of my passport in my very first email to them.
And no, the lowly service rep on the line cannot add the passport details to the PNR. Nor can his supervisor.
You guessed right - only a member of the esteemed partner redemptions team can do it.
Surely no one can be so incompetent without malicious intent?

Well, glory to god, I've got this ticketed - SFO to HKG on CX in J for 100k miles and about Rs 8.2k in taxes. That's, in fact, cheaper than what BA charges (105k Avios), and I think even CX charges 105k Asia Miles for this itinerary in the non-saver bucket.
Just when I'd resigned myself to calling them another six times or so, I miraculously got a call back from the partner redemptions team and it was sorted in about ten minutes.
Of course I've been informed repeatedly in all the emails I've been sent that this booking is strictly non-refundable and cannot be amended, so that's something to bear in mind.

Did you pay with existing JP miles or CC transfer?

More Jet service gems. I wrote (separate) emails to both info@jetairways and [email protected] asking for the CX PNR for the above award ticket. After about three days, both parties got back to me separately, saying they had forwarded the query to the other party for resolution. I love these guys.
