The most anticipated start up is also the most excruciatingly slowest.....almost like watching paint dry!

TTC should arrive in Delhi this evening. Left Toulouse yesterday and currently parked in the sunshine outside my office window while the crew overnight.

Supposedly 3 more deliveries in 2014 (Oct, Nov, Dec) which will be TTD/E/F. TTF will be the first one in full livery - the others are being delivered as white tails.

Sorry. Asked their Chief Engineer if I could disclose this and he said to please hold on until after they officially announce it.

Given the level of discounting with AI too join the bandwagon, looks like Vistara will also be flying in the red...

They have a frigging uphill battle in front of them... go against AI and 9W in quality is easy, but I doubt anyone is willing to pay a premium for a good full service experience. Especially while Indigo is pricing to attract the former rail travellers.

I have yet to come across anyone from the Indian middle-class that value quality over value for money.

My own extended family in India ranges from multi-millionaires to professional middle class but the one thing they all have in common is that they will generally all fly on the cheapest flights. It is an Indian mentality.

For example, they will blow a load of cash on a 24 day European bonanza trip but will travel on Air India to get to Europe!

ditto for Thailand, Hong Kong, Middle-East.
