To be honest, if you are going to be taking a connection anyway and you need to get to Dover, i'd suggest you take a connection in Europe and fly to PHL. Lufthansa/Swiss/Austrian connecting to US Airways should price out reasonably affordably, and all of them are MUCH better than CO or connecting in BOM

i looked up LH/OS/LX.. found LH to be the best choice.. How does Delta hold up.. the first leg is operated by AF and after a stopover at CDG delta will take me to PHL

Why don't you post the 2 itineraries (including aircraft) and the 2 prices, and I'll be able to tell you which is better - there are lots of considerations to take into account, and to ask each question individually would take a lot of time and I might miss something.

BOM
DOH
DXB
LHR
FRA
BRU
CDG

Probably BRU is best. Followed by DOH an DXB. Then LHR. Avoid FRA and CDG.

Take LH without a doubt.

$1530 is ~70k INR, which just isn't competitive.

Connecting in BOM is terrible.

LH is fine as long as your bring your own entertainment for the first part (bring that novel you've wanted to read for a while) - the second plane will have AVOD.

Thank you very much... unless there is a change i will take the LH.. just a couple of queries.. when should i book the tickets so that i get a good deal and a preferrable seat selection... also hows the comfort level on lh economy considering i am 6 feet tall

Given the fact that CO is planning to launch premium economy by first quarter of next year. I feel you should wait and keep CO in mind.

Also, you can consider DEL-EWR-ZWI routing. CO offers seamless connection and check-in through Amtrak.

Book ~2 months out.

You can use this trip to get *S from Aegean Airlines Miles and Bonus (credit the miles there).

Preferably seat selection would mean an aisle seat for you (non status-pax), which there should be availability 2 months out.

If you mean E+, it is the same exact hard seat with a couple extra inches of legroom. The seat will be just as terrible as it was before. And considering the pace where CO usually reconfigures their fleet, they could "launch" E+ next January and finish in 2020...

Whats the distance from JFK to Delaware/Dover? How are the vegetarian options and rentals in these two cities?

Don't mean to be impolite, but have you driven a car outside India before? While traffic is organized and road rules are easy to follow in the US, the high speeds at which cars travel rattle many Indians when they first set foot in the US. Make sure you are comfortable driving in the US, especially after a long flight. If not, seriously consider alternatives like having a friend give you a ride.

And, when on the highway, stay in the right lane. Please. OR me and my NJ friends will tailgate, flash our lights, beep horns, etc.

Yes, its just the same seat with extra legroom (UA's Economy plus).
The seat as such is not special by any means.

No.

I would not spend more than 2 hours in a CO Y seat if you paid me. Probably the most uncomfortable seats in the country...

DEL-BOM-EWR adds 4+ hours to the trip. It doesn't matter how uncomfortable you think the CO seat is, that's terrible advice IMO. DEL-JFK adds an hour due to where the poster is going.

Get one of these and you won't have any problem with the seat. @:-)
