Unhappy Missing elite points

As of April I decided I was going to begin crediting my (mainly BA) flights to Club Iberia plus. I’ve since taken 2 flights, they were codeshare BA flights so I wasn’t entirely surprised when they didn’t credit to my account.
It’s now 3 weeks since the first flight and I’m as of yet unsuccessful in trying to get Iberia to credit the elite points and avios. I’ve tried the following;
  • missing avios claim in app
  • english speaking call centre
  • filling in contact form on website
The app missing avios form was declined I believe due to the fact it’s only to be used for Iberia flights, my bad! The call centre took details and submitted a request on my behalf, they told me this would take a couple of days but was over a week ago now. Finally the contact form was submitted almost 2 weeks ago, how long should I wait before chasing this up and what’s the best way to go about it?

I had expected there would be a bit of trial and error in finding the best way of claiming the points, are there any other contact methods I’ve missed that people have found to be more responsive? It’s beginning to feel like they are actively ignoring my communications as they aren’t Iberia flights. I don’t mind having to claim missing points, but if I can’t count on them to actually credit me for flights with other airlines then I might have to reconsider Club Iberia Plus. I’m currently on the fence whether to give up and claim the flights on my BAEC account instead.

What were the routes/flights? When you say "they were codeshare BA flights" – who were they operated by?

That would be the answer. You cannot credit an Aer Lingus operated flight, even on a BA code, to IB.

https://www.iberia.com/es/iberiaplus...itish_airways/
• Flights with a British Airways (BA) code operated by a company not associated with Iberia do not qualify for the accrual of Avios and Elite Points.

I have the same issue but with proper Oneworld flights.

I booked on BA a BA flight LHR-DUB economy - I was not awarded elite points. I submitted a missing Avios claim through the app and it was declined twice because it did not met the conditions. It was operated by BA, have a boarding card with my IB number in it.

My partner was credited for the flight some 20 days ago - for me - nothing.

Two days ago I had a Business class QR flight from SOF-DOH and then First from DOH-DXB. It has not credited. My partner received EP for the first leg, for me - nothing. Our IB numbers are shown on the boarding passes.

I cant seem to find an email to write to on the website - if I put a PNR and e-ticket different than IB it says that the ticket is not eligible for complaints

Any advice?

This is the main contact form: https://contacto.iberia.com/ob/s/?language=es
If you're already an IB elite, then you should consider emailing or calling your elite line too.

Sounds familiar to a case we saw previously, how many digits is your IB number? And do you currently have no IB status and so the digits problem leading to no status recognition would not have been detected?

It is 9 digits, and correct - I have no status. I am moving from BA to IB. But my partners IB number also has 9 digits.

I am also moving from BA to IB. I find it confusing as occasionally the membership number has some 0 before the actual number. I have made a booking on booking.com and I have put the 0 in my IB number. Hope that would not affect my EP..

Did you check ur BA account to see if the points went there instead?

So no flights have ever been (successfully) credited to this (new) IB account?

Yes, they are not credited to BA. My account is even older than my partners and he got the flights credited within the same day. For me - nothing.

So, old account but never (?) had activity on it? 9 digits so not that old...

I have no idea why a BA marketed BA operated flight would not credit and then declined twice (due to "conditions") and then your partners QR flight got the credit but yours didn't (same ticket right?)

Can you do an avios for thoughts to see if your account is active?

After the second claim for the BA flight - they credited it. So it is active..

I checked - the account is from 2022.
