Seat maps for the A330-200, A330-300, and A340-600
(update 15 Dec 2019)

Notes (applicable to all three aircraft types):
Business Plus cabins: window seats are even numbered; honeymoon pairs are odd numbered;
The row numbering sequence avoids the use of number 13

Could someone clarify this statement? I see a 346 scheduled for Oct. 2014 for MAD-JFK, so are they planning on eventually mixing the retrofits into this route?

Sorry, but this is not correct. Especially on the second daily MAD - JFK flight IB is using still often the A 340, I fly back this Friday and do not expect an up-dated A 340-600, it will be the same as in beginning of August when I had on MAD - JFK an "old" A 340-600.

OK I cheked it, on 1 or 2 days per week IB6253 is opperated by A340

Right, I think the question is when/if IB6253 becomes all A330 or the refurbished A340s.

No EC-LKS is a A340-300 they get not refitted. And this one is not more in service.....Got replaced by A330

O I just noticed that it had dissapeared.


I looks like they call the refurbished ones A340-500

eg.

Are EZE and BOG now guaranteed New Business Class destinations? It seems that lately only refurbished A346s operate these routes.

Apologies and excuse my ignorance but just booked up today for IB6253 in April. Trying to see what type of plane I'll be on, from what I can understand the A330 are still setup for old style business class while the A340 will have the new business plus? And nobody knows which plane IB6253 will be because its a seasonal flight not in operation yet?

Looking at a few random dates in April, right now EF shows a different plane practically every day for IB6253, so I wouldn't trust it. For what it's worth, IB6251 is scheduled as an A330-300. The best indicator would probably be the seat map that IB gives you, though that could obviously change.

For the configuration, I believe you have it backwards - the new business class is on the A330-300, while the A340s are being retrofitted and are in process.
